    Love the Kratky method! Personally I would have grown directly in the cubes to save time but as long as the plants healthy it doesn't really matter how they get in the cube.

    I definitely had that thought at one point 😂. Next time I’m going to try that for sure. I love it too though, these plants have exploded already. It’s such an easy way to grow plants quickly and healthy.

    This video rocks! I'm about to transfer my tomatoes and peppers from their seedling soil starts to leca - I understand that sometimes soil left on the roots can cause rot. Is this not the case?

    We wash our roots (but you can’t get it all) and we have never had an issue! Just make sure you leave a bit of space for air roots to form if you’re going full Kratky!

    😂 I forgot what it was, but there was one day that you posted a video and I had a similar one scheduled for the next day! Either way, peppers are awesome and the more videos the better! Thanks for watching, I appreciate it! I definitely enjoy watching your videos!

    And another thing that I love, are the different perspectives different channels can bring to the same subject. With peppers.. there are so many different ways to do different things and it really is awesome to see the various ways people do things.

    When replacing the nutrients with fresh nutrients, do you fill it all the way to the cup or leave a little space between nutrients and cup?

  • @WhitepepperFarmshomestead

    @WhitepepperFarmshomestead

    2 жыл бұрын

    Leave a little space! Those white fuzzy roots at the top are air roots, and you don’t want to drown those ones. Once my roots are taking up the container I normally fill it about halfway. It all depends on plant and container size, but it’s good practice to just make sure the roots near the base of the plant do not get submerged!

    Hi! I have 2 questions. What is the size of each container/jar? (in ml or L) And 2nd, do you use different EC or TDS on the nutrient solution for each growth cicle? (seedlings, then leafy growing and then flowering). Thanks a lot!! Your videos are so interesting and useful.

    Hey thanks! Each of these containers are roughly 3 liters. I think just under. The size doesn’t have to be the same, this will work in a lot of various sized containers. I use the general hydroponics flora series nutrients. It’s a 3 part nutrient solution and as your plants progress you change the amount of each one you add! As you need to change your mixture the instructions do a good job of telling you how much of each one to add!

    Hello! I’m not too picky when it comes to fungicide! 4 teaspoons of baking soda per gallon is a good organic way. Make a spray and spray your plant! Or walk into any garden store and ask for a fungicide! I like to stay organic when I can but there are tons of organic options at most stores!
