TRANSITIONS Using SEQUENCE LAYERS in After Effects | Adobe After Effects Tutorial
Learn how to Sequence Layers in order to create transitions and backgrounds. This is one of those tools you may have never used or even known was available. You can do a ton of things with Sequencing Layers, but today I'll go over the basics of how to set it up so you can experiment, try some cool things out, and add one more tool to your motion design belt.
Sequencing layers are a good way to transition on a background or create a transition between scenes. The main thing to remember with sequencing is the order that you choose your layers. This was just one way to sequence layers. I'll go over more complex layer sequencing in future episodes, but this should be enough to get you experimenting with this new trick.

definitely one of the best AE channels on youtube! Everything is explained clearly to get you from noob to pro. One thing i noticed only on this channel is that he also teach how to create templates, making you able to make profit from your motion design. I'm already pro but i still learn from this channel. Wow i am so pissed at this program, I'm doing same as you and it just won't work watched the video 10 times on slow motion, did the same thing but nothing ! everything always comes messed up. thanks anyway for making this video.
Why not just use the repeater instead of duplicating

It depends on what you're doing. Sequencing layers is a tool in AE and I'm sure there are a number of ways to accomplish the same thing. This is just one way using layer sequencing
