I really appreciate what you do! Showing the principle of using alpha mattes for transitions and throwing in repeated shapes, both with and without a repeater, was super useful for me.

I also followed Sonduck's tutorial to a "T"--checked carefully his settings--and I never could get the circles to go straight across the screen like his did. They go from lower right to upper left.

that's a hexagon(6 edges) you have but i only have a polygon(5 edges)

a polygon is not 5 edges it is a general name for shapes with more than 4 edges. what u have is a pentagon
