    Cool video mate. I didn't know it was legal to ride on dirt roads in Italy. Imho, mud should be out of our game with a big adventure bike- even with 50-50 tires. There is a lot of luck involved and it's not just the skill. The falls in the mud are too fast and quite dangerous.

    Thank you very much 😉The temperatures had me puzzled too for a while - I recently saw an explanation for this phenomenon - colder air is heavier and can accummulate in valleys - I have experience something similar during my Balkan trip in the Durmitor National Park in Montenegro. As for the engine damage - I do not know the cause as KTM replaced the entire engine without opening it up at the dealer - the damaged engine went straight to the factory. Like you said - I was overall lucky that this happened in Munich where I had the chance to get a replacement bike

    I wanted to share some thoughts about your videos. I have a mix of feelings. On one hand, your equipment is top-notch, with impressive tech gadgets, cameras, and microphones. However, I feel like there's something missing-You. I'm not a fan of the overly perfect microphone or the polished sound production that disconnects you from your surroundings. It feels too artificial, lacking authenticity. The colorful reflective helmet glass or goggles also create a barrier between you and the viewers. Despite the amazing drone shots and slick video editing, I find it hard to connect because there's not enough of your personality shining through. It's just a person in a black suit doing voice over (this is impression) from studio. seems like you're trying to cram too many cool features together, even if they don't necessarily work well. example: the beautiful drone shots in stunning locations are somewhat overshadowed by the awkward camera positioning on the helmet. From a photography and videography perspective, it just doesn't quite work. And regarding the motorcycle, KTM is known for its bold white and orange colors, but the black helmet, jacket, all outfit you're wearing doesn't seem to fit the brand's vibe. While I appreciate the safety aspect of the airbag vest, how often in your career have you actually fallen at speeds where the Klim jacket wouldn't suffice? It seems like overkill for the typical riding experience.

  • @MotoVibes

    @MotoVibes

    Hey Lukasz - thank you very much for your feedback - especially since you kept it constructive and you gave examples on all of your points. For this reason I am happy to give some context. For this season I will try to add a little more of the in-between scence and get more real people on camera without their helmets. I am in the middle of editing my Finland & Norway video from last year where I have a few more direct talks into the camera without the helmet on. I had more time to shot videos on that trip as I was riding solo. I am still learning and improving on the whole video production 😉 For the Transitalia Marathon video I was just happy to have enough footage to even create a video - it was hard to record anything given the pace we were going - I had to rely heavily on the narrative (voice-over) to get some kind of story line for the video- so far the riding has always been my first priority and I try to shoot as much as I can while riding. The helmet camera has been something I have been thinking about and I tried out other locations like the typical chin mount. The angle is too low for shooting while I am sitting on the bike as most of the frame is covered by the cockpit and windshield. On a naked or sports bike that works better than on an adventure bike. The side mount is the best compromise of having the right viewing angle but it shows part of the helmet which I mind less than a view that is obstructed by the windshield - I am curious - what camera do you use and what motorcyle to you ride? The KTM colors where an interesting remark. I do have a KTM jersey (a gift from KTM) that I wear in the enduro park. On my adventure bike I never liked too much orange - I like it as an accent color - the old bike was black/grey with orange accents - the new one I wanted something diffrent so I went with white and organge accents. I happy to wear all orange if KTM is willing to sponsor the bike until then I am not an offical brand ambassador😉 On the topic of airbags and safety: It everyone's individual choice how much or how little protection to wear. I am always maxed out with my gear because I a believe in: Always wear the gear that you would like to wear when you do crash. The airbag vest is the second most import safety gear right after the crash helmet and I have been wearing airbags vest for many years now - I am on my third airbag vest and it will not be the last. I have crashed with an airbag vest and I know they work, so have some of my riding buddies. Anyway - thank you for commenting and watching - cheers, Oliver
