Ik i get hated on that BUT i actually understand why the mother was reacting like this. If its right or not, i dont want to judge. They were all raised on other philosophies. Many in her age are reacting this way when the children having an coming out. I will never do this to my future cildren because i was born in a another time. My mom was a lot older when she had me and she's never in my life had a wrong word to say about trans people. Before she understood it, she simply said it wasn't her life or her business and I was to treat people the way I'd want to be treated if it were me. Now she does all she can to learn about it and understand it more so she can address the passel of morons out there who didn't even pass high school science but insist on bleating on about how the science of transgenderism is wrong. And we don't even have any transgendered people in our family. Nah, being an outdated Karen is no excuse for this.

Glad the friend is there to help out! She's seems like a great friend! 👍🏻

There's no way to resolve this, except for her to move out once she turns 18, although the parents can't be forced to support her financially afterwards. The father won't budge an inch on this, and the mother's badly conflicted but disapproving basically. This is just impossible.

I know it is hard to accept and you build this bubble around you where everyone outside of it is insane and who knows what other words you describe people with, but I suggest humbling oneself through exploration of the the world and understanding that if you have certain feelings, others might have those same feelings, except not exactly towards the same things or people as you. @@Mateus01234 Gender's not clear cut even scientifically. It's mainly just a bunch of traits overlapping and than being labelled as male or female. But that's names we gave it ourselves. For example, native tribes had two-spirits. It's more of a spectrum scientifically! Which is why it makes perfect sense that there's trans people.

And when they do there best and ask him for one thing , he just calls them evil and try to play the victum. I wish I could take this poor young girl in. She deserves so much better. It is a parent's job to love, accept, and support a child unconditionally. UNCONDITIONALLY. that’s the downside of having military parents, they never seem to separate the military mode between parent mode, even goddamn civilian mode, it’s always fucken military mode, which is why when i joined the military i oath’d on my sons birthday when i first held him, i said “you could be anything you want to be” and i won’t do what my parents did, when i return home the military mode will not be active until i get deployed again
