I have an agender teen and agree that looking after their mental health is a major priority. Us Mums always worry. I still struggle with them/they pronouns but it gets easier.

Im FtM Transgender and i was supposed to be born a boy. The doctors and my parents and family thought I was a boy. My mum wanted to name me Logan but instead was named Mackenzie. But jokes on everyone cuz now im a boy xD

+Freyja Svansdóttir I look quite a bit like my mother. It's all in the genetics. It just seems like you get more genes from one parent than the other some times. I know that's not at all how it works but it seems like it sometimes. XD

The relationship you have with your mom (or should I say "mum") is so sweet and endearing. I can really feel how much you care about eachother.

I have seen so many trans activists that just bash parents that struggle with this and I love you so much for presenting a real perspective of this. I also watched your talk with your sister and I loved how honest and real it was. Honestly you are just great. This is a hard thing for the entire family to go through, not just the individual. Props to you again for presenting this in a real way that doesn't make your family out to be villains even when they are struggling. I freakin love you.

Awwww she is such a great Mum! Its nice to hear how, despite going through rough patches, you clearly both found your way through it and have reached acceptance and understanding. Sends a really hopeful message to anyone who is still at odds with their parents - perseverance can pay off. Doesn't matter if you can't agree 100% on everything, whats important they come to respect you and your decisions and never stop trying to understand and 'get it right'. So that's really cool to see here :) Also you both totally have the same mannerisms. It was kind of adorable "Bro" :P

I have watched Alex for a very long time and I remember in the early days Alex would say that his mum wasn't happy with it and she wasn't very supportive. I am so glad they have both come through this and she seems genuinely quite clued up and involved in his transition which is fantastic! You go Michelle. This was adorable. I had a similar experience with my dad when I told him about my androgynous identitity; he just gave me this look and I said "But I guess you knew that, huh?"
