Genuinely made me cry. You can tell the mom cares, she just isn't educated about all of it, and it scares her to think that her baby might be going through something horrible mentally. She doesn't handle it the best way first, but at the end she grows. She hears the truth from Simon, realizes her mistake, and shows that she is going to try and accept her new son for who he is. She was right, he's not her Emilie anymore. But he's still her child.

since this video is a trans film, here's some binding tips for my fellow trans babies out there wanting to bind! -make sure your binder is the right size. NOT TOO SMALL. if it is too small, it may compress too tight and can damage your ribs rlly bad. -dont wear it for more than 8-10 hours at the most. it can be very dangerous if worn for longer -DO NOT WEAR ONE WHILE SLEEPING. your breathing while sleeping is different from when you're awake, and it can possibly strangle you. -if you don't have a binder but are wanting to bind, DO NOT use bandages. it is EXTREMELY dangerous. instead, use two sports bras THAT FIT YOU and then put a big shirt on over top of them! stay safe!! ❤️❤️❤️

I see this comment pretty much on every video/film which shows this ... keep in mind this is not a how to, but often shown in the context of people exploring gender affirmation and not having access to all possibilities. I've had the chance to do this with someone I was dating (almost 15 years ago) together with a transmasc friend and it was amazing to see them glow up - being fully aware that this is a temporary step (for ~6 hours) and an attempt. Said person has come out as transmasc since then and has had his top surgery.

This is what the lgbt community was made to support, it was made as a sign that you’re not alone and that there will always be a shoulder for you to cry on but now- it’s just not the same

I have a friend that is currently transitioning and saving up for surgery and I can’t say in words how proud and happy I am to see that he isn’t struggling with his self image anymore. I love him dearly, and to have that change from crying and hurting himself because he hated his body parts and how looking at himself made him feel to embracing his style and being so much more outgoing and actually feelings comfortable going outside with his friends has been a joy to witness. This Mini Movie is a really well done representation of anger within oneself, frustration from being ignored or “covered” for, finding acceptance, and overall freedom due to the outcome. Nope, we know very little about their overall relationship to say this is true. Yes, she was behaving like one in the part we saw, but that doesn't mean she's bad. Parents are human just as kids and just as kids need to come to term with their identity, so does their parents. Some people just know from their childhood they are straight, gay, cis, trans, ace etc. and they have no prob with that, some have to "find" themselves and come to terms with it, some will try to suppres themselves and to make themselves "normal". And the same is true about parents - some can accept their kid no matter what, some struggle but in the end they accept it, and some just throw their own kids overboard, 'cause they are not like they want them.

when this video first came out, i was a young trans boy strggling with heavy dysphoria. 8 years later and it's been a long journey. Not everyone I care about felt the same way about me, and I lost friends, family, and faced a lot of hatred from the world. I am so much happier now, having been on T for years, getting surgeries scheduled, carrying myself through college, working with mentors and looking to keep fighting for my dreams. It can happen. Things may not be perfect, and things might not even get easier, but you can be happy, and finding value in yourself is certainly worth it :)

As silly as it sounds but this was the film that made me realize I'm trans, back in 2014. Now ive been out since 2016, on testosterone since 2019 and had top surgery in 2020 and i couldnt be happier :,) if youre reading this and you just realized youre trans and are scared: dont be. its such an amazing opportunity to discover your real self and you will know yourself much better than most cis people know themselves. and i know everyone always says that but it will indeed get better. One day you will wake up and finally feel like yourself

Funny that this has to be said so much to ensure that these people don't have constant mental breakdowns. You'll notice none of these people are actually happy with who they are, and need frequent reassurance that they aren't the vile cretins that they think they are. Though one quick look in the mirror kills all of that Discord validation. There is quite truthfully, no such thing as a genuinely self-assured and confident transgender individual. i remember watching this a couple years ago when i went through a phase of watching a bunch of short films, and i loved it. it made me cry because the acting was so good and i had just started to question my sexuality. i didn’t and still don’t have the most accepting parents, so this really hit deep. now i’ve had a whole pandemic to think, i’ve finally figured out that i’m genderfluid and asexual. i’ve been using these terms for about 6 months and i finally feel comfortable. 12 y/o me would cry even more if i knew where i’d be today :’)

I’m cis, but have extreme dysmorphia about my breasts. I didn’t have any until I was 29 due to anorexia, and since they’ve developed I have struggled severely to handle them despite having no gender identity issues. I looked into binding but I have a permanent rib injuries incurred during a SA so I can’t use binding without agony. I also can’t have them removed because I don’t fit any of the categories that would make it reasonable. I’m just telling this story to let anyone else like me know sometimes hating your breasts is more complex than wanting to be male…. Although I totally respect and am an ally to all LGBTQ+ people 🖤

To anyone watching this, please remember that binding with bandages is unsafe and can cause permanent rib damage. You can buy safe chest binders for the purpose of hiding your chest online. Also, please don't wear chest compression for more than 8 hours, while you sleep, or while exercising. It can also be a good idea to stretch afterward. Be safe!

My daughter wasn’t trans but she has refused all her life to wear anything feminine or girly. She wears mens underwear, mens shirts, mens jeans but has hair down to her bum and beyond.. i think she’s fabulous. ❤

I am so sorry to anyone who is questioning everything and their family and/or friends don't support. You are valid, and you deserve so much more than them...
