She'd already have one child, she was married and did not want to have more children and her doctor refused to give her the tubal litigation she requested because "she might want more kids" my friends was 28 at the time. 🤭 Grown enough to have children but not grown enough to say no more kids?Where are these eager surgeons that will cut you at a moment's notice?👀

    You know what’s depressing about the “kids are using cat litter trays!” Story? It's also depressing that, as usual, those areas blame the bogeyman groups that they collectively refer to as "The Left," and act like these situations - even if true - are recent upheavals caused by upstarts. 20-25 years ago, during the decline of Mainstream Media's anti-liberal bias (yes, kids, the MSM was squarely in the right'd favour at one time!), i once saw a news special on growing decorative disfigurement trends in transhumanism (note that transhumanism has literally nothing to do with LGBTQIA+). There was a man who tatoo'd tiger stripes all over his body, cut slits at the corners of his eyes, wore feline-eye contacts, disfigured his lip clefts and filed his teeth into points. He even wore whiskers. That guy wasn't transexual or transgender (afaik), so it goes to show that human dysmorphia, odd behaviours and disfigurement are NOT attributed to sexual orientation or gender ID. It's independent. So even us normies are prone to identifying as fucking tigers.

However, let's say we did take the left's solution and put it into practice. Transgender kids are given the information early enough to express themselves and get onto puberty blockers. That means that when they compete in teen sports, they're at a disadvantage compared to their cisgender peers; because their cisgender peers have gone through puberty and they haven't due to the blockers.

And it's not like we'll be changing all of humanity to just have people be more thoughtful about something as simple as pronouns. There have been and still are societies which recognize more than 2 genders, there are multiple languages that accommodate different genders, and if we look back in time we can see how language has changed and evolved along with our culture. RIGHT? I'm a middle-aged trans guy currently seeking a hysto with a surgeon who's FAST at getting people approved for it, and we're 6 months in with no surgery date yet because of the prerequisite red tape for gender-affirming healthcare in this country. Every step of the way, I still get asked if I'm going to want a baby. I HAVE AN 8-YEAR-OLD. I REMEMBER Y2K. Took me 15 years- with massive medical issue due to my uterus. The pain was debilitating, hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills, no insurance because I had trouble working, an absolute MISERY. Fight for what you need. Talk to different doctors. If one isn’t supportive of something- go to another. Life is too precious to spend in crying in misery, wishing that the offending organ be removed. I woke up from surgery needing no pain meds- even tho it was a hip to hip cut (like a c section). I didn’t need any meds. I could have sex without pain. I wasn’t spending days in bed, unable to move, weeping. Support these trans kids & adults. Often, their very lives depend on it. And we should be a society that accepts & includes differences, especially ones that are personal & ARENT EVEN AFFECTING THE PEOPLE FIGHTING AGAINST THEM! When half of any population is considering suicide- it’s time to make some GD choices. Better choices. And John Oliver is right on the joy- everyone should be able to pursue their joy! As long as you aren’t harming others- rock on!

I typically feed him crickets and mealworms for meat, lettuce and kale for hydration and greens, and blueberries and strawberries. I especially love it when he eats blueberries because it looks like he's wearing lipstick. When he's not chilling on his hammock in his enclosure, I let him climb onto me and up to my shoulders. When it's hot out, I bring another enclosure and take him outside. I let him explore the grass (though he doesn't exactly move much), and when he's done, I place in a different enclosure so he doesn't move anywhere. His indoor enclosure is right next to a window and he loves to birdwatch from his hammock.

As a 36 yr old AFAB Enby who wants to get a hysterectomy, I can personally testify that no, that wouldn't happen. FFS, my state only just repealed the law that mandated my spouse give written permission for me to get a hysterectomy just _last year!_ There's still several states in the US where that's still the law, BTW. god i love when the person talking out of their ass, making up definitions for acronyms as if they're merrian webster themselves, is asking for a source. have you, by chance, had extended contact with a trans man before? have you ever even talked to one before? have any of them ever told you anything remotely close to your own self-proclaimed definition of a term that has no relevance or weight in the real, actual, physical world?

  • @HeatherBarks

    @HeatherBarks

    Жыл бұрын

    ROGD is a made-up term by conservative parents, mainly used as a sort of "intellectual reasoning" as to why their child "suddenly became trans." i know you don't actually understand what it's like to even be in the presence of a trans person to hear their story, let alone step into their shoes, but my conservative parents thought I had it. that it was "just a phase," that "it was brought on so suddenly," and that "they'd never seen the signs." i came out at 14, but lest i forget being as young as 6- far before getting access to the internet and far before my parents started watching conspiracy theory cable news- and wearing towels like dresses after bath time because it made me feel pretty. you asking for sources was just incredibly ironic to me, as throughout your entire tirade through this comment section over the last few months, and over 1000 comments later, I actually haven't seen you cite a single source that wasn't from a blatant anti-trans, far-right activist who's "evidence" was either completely false, had no weight to it whatsoever, or was skewed by the fact that they picked obvious anti-trans demographics to coax their "research" into being swayed in their direction. let me ask you a question. do you have the same favorite color as when you were, say, 10? what about your favorite food? your favorite type of music? do you realize that the human brain evolves over time? and do you realize that as the idea of being trans becomes more mainstream and more accepted, more people are starting to come out as trans, solely because the idea is becoming less stigmatized, and their thoughts and feelings are actually starting to be validated? maybe you've seen the study of what percent of people are left handed, from 1900-today. back before the 1960s, left handed people were forced to write with their right hand because being left handed was unnatural. now, today, once people stopped giving a fuck about what hand you wrote with, the percentage of left handed people skyrocketed in the following couple decades, and then plateaued, because while still uncommon, left handed people were allowed to be their fucking selves, and write with their left hand. and as soon as people like you stop ostricizing trans people and invalidating their feelings, making them feel like they have no purpose in the world simply because they don't feel like what they were born as, the percentage of LGBTQ+ people is going to skyrocket, and then plateau. because once the LGBTQ+ community can start being themselves, and not have to worry about fucktards like you contributing to trans suicide and self-harm by constantly bashing them and telling them "sorry you had to castrate yourself to feel better," maybe it'll start being safer to come out as trans, just like it became safer to write with your left fucking hand.

  • @HeatherBarks

    @HeatherBarks

    if that didn't answer your question, no, I don't believe whatever the fuck conspiracy theory you're trying to conjure up. I think you should stop worrying about little girls transitioning into little boys so much though. Actually, the goblin shark is not a mistake. It, like all other terrifying creatures like the deep sea angler fish and the viperfish, was created to remind us of the unfathomable horrors of the deep and that we should not mess around down there.

    @@gargantuan6241 first off, this sub-thread is about goblin sharks. Second off, no, not all words have precise meanings; they shift over time. Third, why does what a person have between their legs matter? You're supposed to treat people like people, why do their gender bits matter? If your first thought is whether or not you find them sexually appealing, then that's your problem, not theirs.

    @@gargantuan6241 When you say biological, do you mean anatomical or chromosomal? Because a post-op trans person can have the genitals you prefer, and it's very rare for people to get their chromosomes tested, but some have found that they are intersex or that they have XX while also having a penis. Nothing besides good taste is telling you to not just tell people "I like vagina" or "I'm a vagitarian" if you're actually concerned about having a word for it. And what the hell does this have to do with goblin sharks?

    Thank you for mentioning the joy. Time and again people who knew me on both sides of my transition (one for 16 years before) have said that I was the grimmest, angriest, most miserable person they had ever met. And now when they see me they always remark on how happy I am, that I'm always smiling and cheerful, and just enjoy existing. And I am. Before transition, I did not know happiness like this existed, or that I could ever live in it.

    As a left-handed person treated for atypical depression, I feel like I can relate to that just a tiny bit, despite being a cishet male. The thought that a few decades ago I'd be forced to write with the other hand just because someone else told me to makes me angry. The idea that a few years ago there might not have been the right medicine to treat my depression makes me sad. The fact that these are no longer problems today gives me hope for the future of others. I'm sorry for dumping all of this under your comment, but the line "I did not know happiness like this existed" made me remember how I felt before treatment.

    @Lugosi I was 14 when I realized I was trans and 15 when I started seeking care, and instead I was abused and stuffed full of antidepressants and antipsychotics in the hopes that it would make me stop being trans. It didn't succeed at stopping me from being trans, but it did succeed at hurting me and warping my body in ways that I'll never entirely be rid of, and now people want to do what was done to me to other young trans people.

    My youngest daughter questioned her identity as she was in her teens, she felt more or less "gender fluid" and she explored that part of herself in her own way. I always tried to help her feel comfortable to talk about it if she wanted to and I let her know that I would always love her no matter what. She has become a very caring and compassionate person and I am very proud of how she deals with this crazy thing we call life. Peace to you all.

    Vicki, this is not the kind stance on gender ideology. In several states they put male grapists in women's prisons and mutilate and sterilize children. As a woman you should object to males in your spaces. You need to know if the person next to you has a penis for safeguarding reasons
