Girl our fridge decided to stop cooling. My husband had it laying on the kitchen floor & has been doing repairs. He's down to taking out the fan in the freezer portion. Hopefully they have one in stocks. It's unbelievable what this man of mine is capable of! Thank God, no money for a new fridge. It's stressful. He has a old hand truck he built along time ago, he rachet straped the fridge to the hand truck &, laided it on the floor to work on it. He's 66 & his back is done & his hip is on its last leg. Always impressive what he is capable of. It's great when you have no money to be so talented at fixen stuff. Your Cabinet looks fabulous, you rock!

Aside from the kitchen/ dinning area coming a long way from what it used to be... let's give you a round of applause for how far you've come with (what I would now dare say) you're cinematography skills! 👏👏👏👏 The way you're creating a story utilizing tools like psychology (music to fit the mood/tone of the video), color theory (with lighting and angles you use), smooth transitions from "scene to scene"-- all influencing the audience. And I'm here for it girl!!!! 💜

When you use the vacuum to cut down on dust, use the sandpaper that has the holes in it. It will let the vacuum draw through the sander better.

Yes! I innocently asked at Lowe's one day what the sandpaper with the holes was for and why anyone would buy it. I was finishing up a project and was feeling a little smug with my success and I (quite deservedly) got the wind knocked out of my sails when he explained and I had to admit I'd been doing it all "wrong" or at least not the best way.

The fridge is STUNNING!!!!

I just wanted to say that alle the things you're doing with the lighting, the angles, the cuts, the music, and everything are really worth it. Your videos have such high quality and are incredibly enjoyable 🥰

Three projects with major impact completed! I really think that last coat of paint in the dining room makes a HUGE difference. Logically, it doesn't seem as if it would, but it absolutely does. There's nothing that says "corners cut" like too thin paint finish. That extra coat adds depth to the color and the finish and makes it look rich. We ALLLL love the fridge doors. I think we (including you!) love and appreciate them all the more for having looked at them as they were for so long. The anticipation makes them even more stunning, if that's possible! And the floors are perfect. I'm glad you kept the color as it was - it's so pretty! When my daughter had her floors done (they bought their home when she was 6 mos pregnant so she couldn't do them herself) the man who was doing them wanted to drain them dark and she wrangled with him a bit. Her house is just 7-8 years younger than yours and the floors were in perfect condition - no need to stain dark to hide anything. She did stain them, but a very natural honey color, just a shade darker than the sanded wood to help them blend in better with the woodwork. They are beautiful, too!

SO nice to see you completing these projects. Both you and Romeo deserve a lot of credit for not giving up, despite scope of the cottage project. Finishing the major projects is going to be a lot more important than sweating the small stuff. Your parents must be pretty proud of having raised such a smart and capable daughter.

Love how your refrigerator doors came out 😍I’m so amazed at the ease with which you go from one project to another. I would do one and procrastinate about a few days before doing the other 😂

I can't tell you how satisfying it was to watch you paint the outlet cover and then immediately attach it. I realize you let them dry, but not having to personally wait and still getting the satisfying moment of install was pure bliss. Who knew!?

Your videos get me through a really horrible experience with builders of my new home. I just relax watching you for which I am really grateful. We're also going to have a cabinet ready fridge, only a tad smaller. If I may suggest a tiny change to the fridge doors, I'd still paint the back because you can see the unfinished wood on the top and bottom when opening the fridge and I know I'd just always see it myself and it would bug me ;) That said, all the attention to details you deliver each and every time is just incredibly inspiring.

She did actually go around the doors with paint 🎨 as think that's why she elevated the doors as she painted around the edges...

@@sandieedward993 She did the edges, but not the back side because she thought it wouldn't show. But the cabinet front is larger than that metal plate, so when the fridge door is open, the unpainted backside is exposed all the way around. It's a couple of inches at the top and bottom and less on the sides. If you look at the very end when she shows the doors open, you can see that it really does show.

This is major! It looks so good. Just with you adding that inner trim to the fridge door front, I can totally see the vision with you wanting to add more trim to the walls to bring out the Victorian style. These details really bring it to the next level. Bravo!

Finally!!! I’ve been desperate for you to put the doors onto the refrigerator 😂 It looks great!!

It is a very good idea to ensure good ventilation ductwork behind cabinet appliances. Refrigerators require a steady exchange of air from behind to ensure many maintenance-free years of operation.

The fridge doors look incredible!! I’m wondering if you could router a vent for the fridge then you wouldn’t even see the fridge vent! As always the cottage is looking incredible.

We call appliances with cabinet fronts integrated here in the UK. I have an integrated fridge too (much smaller though). Can't wait to see the kitchen all finished 🤎

I think HGTV dropped the ball on this. Imagine if they had started this renovation journey with you?! Instead of that phoney stuff where the stars of the show are lifting up one tile and the viewers are supposed to believe they ripped out all the tiles, when their crew actually did ALL the work! Here they would have one WOMAN doing all the work with only certain things from a speciality skill set being done by a crew. Not only that, this one woman never did anything like this before!!

Can't believe the progress!!! The refrigerator doors and handles are a game changer!!! Pure class!! All the extra effort in the dining room will be something you won't regret since guests spend a lot of time there!!! Bravo!!!

Oh thank God. For some reason the fridge doors where driving me insane, the cabinets never bothered me. The metal doors made me cringe, I don't know why. I loooovvve your home, it's everything I've ever dreamed to own someday. The simple, cozy cottage dream home.

When we had our new kitchen installed (not by me!) the panels for the fridge and freezer arrived damaged so we had bare metal doors for weeks until the replacements arrived. Drove me mad!

I cannot tell you how satisfying it is to know that you have a list of finishing projects for the rooms you've already started and are crossing things off. I work in manufacturing and tooling marks are unacceptable. Adding cloth and other padding is a minimum.

Oh my goodness the fridge!!! Because of the metal on the fridge, I thought the fridge would end up being bulky and heavy looking. But the cabinet doors along with the beautiful handles made the fridge look dainty and elegant (in a feminine sort of way). I CAN NOT wait for the rest of the cabinets to be put on!

You can also add Flotrol to regular paint for leveling/ not seeing brushstrokes on cabinets.

You crack me up! It’s good to know I’m not the only perfectionist out there. When I painted my daughters rooms I even used the paint brushes from their paint sets to get in the tiny, tiny areas with paint. Lol. My uncle came for a visit and was admiring the rooms with the chair railing, crown molding and solid carved doors I did with the insets a different color. He asked who did the paint work n I said I did. He said “no way”! I said oh yes I did. He starts inspecting very closely n he said how on earth did you get these tiny little areas? I said “you steal your kids paint brushes”. He too belongs to the perfectionist club and he declared “you’re the daughter I never had” ( he n his wife never had children). Funny enough I have soooo much in common with him that my other siblings do not. So to see you giving such great tips to make something look very polished is terrific. Anyone can get stuff done but does it look good? Usually not, sadly. I wish I could have warned you about not paying your subs in full until ALL work was done. Having been a construction loan officer in LA I learned early on to never, ever pay them in full until the very last thing on the list they were to do is done or you will never see them or get a returned call ever again. Go a girl go. You are soooo good at this. I tip my hat to you.
