Looks great! You can get a plastic strip that holds cords snug to the wall and hides them. You could get it in black and hide those cords right next to the rails for the shelves. It's got an adhesive side, so it's ver easy to install.

I agree, the scraggly white wires take away from the closets potential. Pull them together, cover them and viola..no more distractions..symmetry!

This might sound dramatic, but I mean it: the amount of joy that each of these videos strikes in me is uncanny. I know it's soooo much work not only to renovate, but to beautifully and cohesively *document* the renovations. I seriously appreciate that you do it and that you're sharing this journey with us ☺ Also, I don't think I've ever been so invested in paint colors and I woke up my partner with an enormous fist-pump "YES!!!" when you said you settled on the blue lol--absolutely gorgeous 😍

I'm so glad you went with the navy blue for the walls, Ariel. It ties in so nicely with the wallpaper. The timber shelves match the flooring so everything looks cohesive and I love how when the lights are off, you hardly notice the room at all :-)

One thing that just really fills me with joy is how much art you put on the walls absolutely everywhere! It's really made me think about how I approach decorating all my spaces and reminds me that there really aren't rules when it comes to how you decorate. I know I personally get real caught up in "well this is how my parents would decorate" and sometimes I forget to think about how I WANT to decorate. All your home decor videos have been very inspiring and very calming to watch!

I'm so pumped you went with the blue. I think the yellow would've made things look too busy with so many different colors and patterns. The blue really ties into the wallpaper but it's still dramatic and lovely. I really love this entire little nook you've got it looks so beautiful, stylish, intentional and polished. You're doing such awesome things with your home!!

I still cannot get over how stunning and elegant the hallway is 😍

My first thought when you showed the two paint colors was "definitely blue, it will make everything inside of it look like glittering jewelry inside a dark velvety jewelry box" and LO! It did! So beautiful.

Oh these two empty shelves scream for pretty storage boxes with the overflow birdie and flower wallpaper stuck on. The dark blue was the perfect choice and makes me want to paint something in this tone, now too. Oh and by the way, I love your calm camera style, with the long steady shots, very soothing. I love this lil room for the litter boxes!!! Every pet owner should build something like this so the litter boxes don't have to stink up your bedrooms or bathrooms

The new color on the walls is wonderful. The wooden flooring is the best! I am surprised you left the electric cords dangling, they could be hidden along the back of the shelves… they really stand out.

Looks so amazing! Have you ever used cord covers? They snap around your cord, stick to the wall, and are paintable! Would finish off your cute lights really well.

I do like watching you finish floors and paint walls and hang shelves. It’s relaxing. 😊 Thank you for another video.

It’s 11pm and I’m too nervous to go to sleep because I’m starting a new job tomorrow so this video couldn’t have come out at a better time to give me some comfort 🥺❤️

You might consider applying that beautiful bird wallpaper to the slanted wall. You did a lovely job transforming the closet.

The yellow would have been a solid choice, but the blue just brings works so well with the trim and the wallpaper. Delightful all around.

I LOVE how much Ariel loves things lol. Paint colors! Food from a paid partnership! Books, obviously! A dirty old house in need of TLC! Nothing is off the table for her genuine appreciation and abundant celebration.

I really wanted to see the yellow trim, but that pink looks so amazing in the different light and now with that closet blue it’s just beautiful. I love your decorating style. I can’t stand the beige and grey boring houses we see all over KZread. You are a breath of fresh air. 😊

I'm a year late but if you see this, a suggestion, put down a rug for your kitty for the litter that inevitably gets tracked out. We just use small bathroom rugs for our kitty spaces (yes, they have a rug to eat their dinner on and a rug in front of the box). But in your case what would be cool to use is an oil cloth rug. It could be easily wiped down. Might be a fun video and you can use all the wall paper colors. If you are super crafty I suppose you could latch hook a rug, but that would be a chore.

I SO appreciate how you are not impulsive, you really take your time to think details and cohesion through and through…I need to do this more. Often, I get so impatient and I don’t realize that in the haste I’m missing out of the richness of what and room or space fully could have been. You can still keep in the footage of your flooring work, painting your walls, and shelving work! I personally love watching it even though it's like the 15th time I've seen it lol. This video felt so short compared to past videos. Honestly I love the details.

My first instinct would have been to use the lighter blue-gray as the closet color. Seeing the final result though, I couldn't agree more with the deep blue.... Absolutely gorgeous! And the change in lighting was spot on.

This is lovely ! I so love your use of colours 💖 If you want it to be extra nice, you could use cord covers, hide all the light cords in there and paint it the same blue as the wall ! They would disappear behind the shelves 😊

Ariel! I'm ready to buy a house and hire you to do the wood floors because yours are so STUNNING. I weep. All of these house videos are so satisfying to watch.

I think your kitty deserves a nice soft motion sensitive light that doesnt blind when it flashes on. Or, if you can train him/ her, their own light switch for the lower cabinet, that way they can decide if they want it on or not. Also, dont kitties like art? Put some pictures down there too?

I know this is old but if u zip tie the wires to the shelf tracks it will look so much cleaner, and you can always snip the ties to move the shelves around

I love the wall color & the shelves, but the lighting with (the white cords) needs to be painted the wall color the cords also needs to be going straight down and secured with some clear plastic anchors. Also put the puck lighting on the under side of the shelves themselves. The plastic storage bins should be swap out with wicker or other natural materials. * I would love to see you use the lighter yellow paint (the original) in the barhroom! You have made some wonderful choices👍👍
