Watching your videos twice a week is not only pure joy, as you are so energetic,both of you, but also because of your positivity which turns each obstacle to a possibility to learn a new skill. Tara,you helped me a lot, deciding to make the table and later on the balustrade. You showed me that if we never did something, we will never know if we are able to do it or not. In fact, trying is the only positive attitude. So, at 61, i decided to paint our bathroom,as i’ve been always disappointed by the colours it had. I decided that i should stop my attitude to be afraid of a result being not the one i would ask for. I decided to be proud of myself,just by the fact of doing something i thought unable to do well. The result is not 100% perfect,but i am happy to have pushed away my inhibition. Looking for the perfection stops us trying. Not trying leads of for sure to the frustration…Thank you Tara, for being a new “motor”in my life!!!

Ta Ra, you are a born storyteller. I really hope you consider writing a children's storybook. You can base it on those adorable heartbreaker boys and the farm. I am sure you can even do your own illustrations. This was a lovely look back. I really hope that John's shoulder is all healed soon. Oh, yes, I for one love the Crusoe cam. He shows the world from a child 's eye, and it looks so big. I just love you all so much. The music here was awesome!❤

Happy and Glorious Sunday Newby family what a journey from March to now almost the beginning of September. Crusoe in March just turned 2 years old, still not talking properly look at him now and Sawyer your little always smiling pumpkin will be 1 year old soon. Ups and downs we were sharing with you. You have come so far, it is amazing, all the work of renovating, planting harvesting, and even travelling. Rejoice the harvest is plentiful and brings us much JOY to see you all well. Cannot stop smiling when we saw you Tara overjoyed with your first 4 eggs, like a young girl seeing her first Christmas tree. Amazing. Absolutely loved seeing the look back, but my favorite is seeing how small Crusoe was and how he was just starting to put words together to the end where he was carrying on a conversation with you. I have watched you grow as a family for the best part of a year, I look forward to seeing you twice a week I go around my house singing your opening song . With the hardship you sometimes face and it must be tiering and sometimes hard your amazing with two beautiful children giving them the best quality of life . Never commentated befor so I thought I will tell your doing great .

We’re still in the ‘vanlife’ phase. Living fulltime in our camper with our 2 children (of 10 and 2) but one day we’ll buy some land too! Love what you guys created for yourself ❤

Hi Newby’s and Joao, Belated Happy Birthday to Joao. I watched this late Sunday night, this is the first time I’ve had to reply. The amount of stuff you’ve done is mind blowing. While you were making this retrospective look at your lives, there must’ve been so many things to remind you of your accomplishments. The boys are growing so fast, your parents must really miss them. Crusoe is a mini John and Sawyer looks like he can’t wait to take off after Crusoe. Watching Crusoe put his hands on his hips like John is hilarious. Even the chickens have matured! The joy on Tara’s face the first time they laid eggs was priceless. John works so hard, it must be maddening that he’s injured himself. He is so used to setting goals and achieving them. It has to be very frustrating. Tara’s John imitation made me laugh again. Your neighbors are all so kind and generous. Joao is a patient and kind young man. Seeing him with Crusoe is what we want to see in all young people. You’ve created a blessed life! ❤ and Hugs to all of you, Jacqueline in Colorado ❤

I have just watched the initial 15 minutes yet and will watch the rest in some time, but already enthralled with all the joy that bursts through the screen watching you all accomplish so much, bit by bit, together, supporting each other to the fullest. Watching today I realise I'd missed some bits . Good to catch up on them. I'd been wondering about the complex of buildings and wondering how you could expand into them to make accommodation for the boys . I see another building really close to the main one that you could convert and then add a bit to link that wing to the first house . Probably that would double your accommodation ? Great . I just found your first video and the tour of the buildings. Interesting. Its more complicated than i thought . The bungalow certainly would make a good house with a new roof ! I'm glad I save this for my day off, its 44ºc it's hot and there is nothing to be done outside until the sun sets tonight. Peace and Happiness to you all and your families.

You can be so proud of yourselves of what you have done this year and it has been an action packed year, I am not surprised John has had an injury and I hope John you nurse it well and enjoy your slowing down of the build, and just enjoying each day with the wake of the sun, smell of coffee and doing the things with Tara and the kids and before you know it it will all be healed.
