Definitely awaiting the toyhax upgrade stickers for the wreckers to make them really pop in vehicle mode

I'd love to see Studio Series Devcon to fight against the Wreckers.

I have mixed feelings about this figure. I have the original dotm figure, and I still think that its better. The ss figure is way better when it comes to vehicle mode, but robot mode, no. The original figure had waist rotation, claw articulation, and ankle tilt, as well has up and down movement. In the articulation department, studio series falls short. In the weapons department, studio series also falls short. The guns are molded in this grey plastic that stands out way too much. The rubber is weird too. The original had a darker grey color for the guns, and they were not made of rubber. Honestly, if hasbro just reused the original figure and molded it in better plastic, maybe downsize it just a little, It would be fine. But of course the studio series figure isn't bad and serves as a pretty good representation of dotm topspin. Just my thoughts.

@@firebender3092 Walmart, Target and Amazon mostly. I havent gotten into ebay yet. I got Long Haul, Scrapper, Hightower, and Mixmaster for very good prices.

Still not sold on this guy. In a customizer's perspective, the original DOTM figure completely wrecks the ss one. Sure the ss one has more molded in detail but i can careless because the original has enough to compete.

Nice review! I'm shocked at how good he looks, considering he's the least prominent of the three in the movie. I'm relieved that he has less kibble than Roadbuster. Only downside seems to be those rubber guns. It's getting a bit silly how they assume kids will gouge out their eyes on every piece of these things haha! Can't wait to add a few touches of yellow and silver to mine!

Honestly, I think this is good. You really sold it for me. I still think Roadbuster looks better overall, but Topspin definitely is a better overall figure. Excellent review PvP! Looking forward to your Cliffjumper review! Although I bet you have Leadfoot already ;)

Studio Series DOTM Topspin looks really cool. -A SS figure version of his TLK appearance would be cool too. Later down the line of course.

The coversion of this Takara Tomy "Studio Series" 63 Topspin is strkingly simillar to the conversion to action robot Transformers: The Last Knight premier edition deluxe class Drift.

Im so excited for Leadfoot! Its gonna be so awesome to have all the DotM Wreckers together at last!

I still think the OG one is the better figure and more accurate. not saying SS is a bad figure, it's good but my reasons for me not liking the figure are the same reasons for why I don't like SS Sideswipe and thin the OG DOTM figure is better. except instead of inaccurate swords, Topspin's claws were inaccurate, Topspin had some pretty big claws and weren't arm mounted rather they were more like scorpion claws. also the car mode, SS looks like a hatchback from sideview rather OG more proportionate to the actual Nascar Track Car. The SS makes the claws look like small tasers or weird armblades, as for articualation, OG has it beat even having options to pose the cannons and for the guns, the fact that all 4 were removable and he had 7 avialable ports in bot mode, I could go WFC siege crazy on him for the weapons if I wanted to. in short I rather get the Original Topspin figure and just give him repolabels. *Update: I no longer hate the SS Sideswipe figure after owning it for about 2 years now, and grown to love it. But after owning the OG DOTM Topspin for about a year, yeah the SS "Update" is a bad figure. And is Definitely my least favorite figure in Studio Series.*

Jimmy Johnson's car (back when Lowe's was his sponsor) was always my favorite NASCAR because it was blue, which is my favorite color. Seeing that the car (well a similar looking one) was used as a Transformer blew my mind when I was younger and this toy still gives off that vibe (even though he doesn't have the Lowe's sponsors as due to a disasterous season for Jimmy Johnson).

Definitely gonna be buying this one.

Prime, this is for one of my christmas presents. If I can only have one should I get Roadbuster or Topspin? Keep in mind I'm in Australia so the prices are more expensive. $40 each.

I had the original Topspin when I saw it on sales in a Bargain store and I loved him! I would defo buy the Studio version whenever he appear as a sale!

I have the original DOTM Roadbuster and Topspin, but I ended up getting the Studio Series Roadbuster because it was more screen accurate. I was thinking about getting this one, but it only seems different from the original one in the most superficial of ways.

Being a pretty big Jimmie Johnson fan when I was younger, this just feels off to me. No Lowe's logo is one thing, but the font they went with for the #48 is just killing it for me.

I am so happy with how his back-kibble was handled; the fact that it folds up above his waist and packs itself in unlike Roadbuster, Ratchet, and Jazz who have car-roof-capes. Seriously, HasTak. No more CRC (Car-Roof-Cape).

When did they take down Devcon in the movie? To me the original Deluxe class DotM version is still superior in robot mode at least. No rubber parts, less or no fake alt mode parts in robot mode, ledss kibble, it is a bit taller/has better proportions and the shoulder cannons look way better.

Just got him today and Overload yesterday, so Devastator is complete. Honestly I didn’t expect for Topspin to be so short and squat, but I like it. I did have Roadbuster, but the arms were so loose I returned him.

Does your Topspin have any loose joints?

Can his shoulder cannons aim forward? Both topspins in the review had them up which is wrong

Is DOTM topspin weapons are applicable for the pegs of studio series topsion?

I do like the sudio series Topspin but the kible should’ve been on his back instead on his arms because it blocks some of his arm movements, plus with the stuff on his back you can get a lot of possibilities

Anyone else pre-order this guy on Amazon? If so, know when it's coming out?

Topspin is really cool in vehicle mode and especially in robot mode

The wreckers are figures I may actually get, just for their vehicle modes. Because Topspin here is the only one of the three figures that i actually like the Robot mode of. But I absolutely love all three of their altmodes.

I don’t know why they didn’t give Roadbuster his armored mode back then. At least Leadfoot got his armored mode even though he didn’t make it to America. I also don’t know why we didn’t get a Human Alliance Topspin.

I think the original idea was that they wanted to release "stock" and "weaponized" versions of all three, but the glut of first couple of waves of DOTM figures retailers ordered prevented that from panning out.

I'm sick tired of rubber parts in accesories,I get it when you have some pointy/sharp like blades or similar but heck here all the weapons are made of that.I can give it a pass on the exhaust on the torso,but the claws or the guns,that`s a no no.The figure looks nice (unlike the upcoming Leadfoot) but could use more paint (I guest reprolabels will do something about it).

I hope reprolabels makes sets for each wrecker. That would really set them over the top

I can't wait for you to see if you can make an easy head swap with Leadfoot and give us Volleybot.

just got mine there was 2 of him.. had to be reasonable and buy just one I dont know if you notices, but Roadbuster and Topspin have the same transformation... if not, very similar

I wanted to like this figure, but those rubber weapons and pipes are a dealbreaker. I still have the OG 2011 deluxe which I still consider an excellent figure.

Actually, of the three Dotm Wreckers toys I hate only Raodbuster, his Deluxe was terrible. I even paid good money for a Leadfoot. Now I’m just happy I’ll finally have the trio fully weaponized.

I keep coming back to this guy and every time I’m more and more disappointed with him he’s very simplistic and the rubber gun are an eyesore personality I think the original DOTM release was way better and will be the one that I display
