Tony Stark I'd say dark of the moon is when we started getting bad figures. Revenge of the Fallen is when they were at their best I would say. (in bay formers terms at least)

I'm not a fan of the simplified transformations either, but I think part of the blame goes to the movies. The new transformations are complex and there are too many small and hidden parts to get a good figure in this scale. That's why we get "shellformers" with false chest, leg, and arm parts molded together already. It's just a matter of how well you use and hide those shell car parts in the robot mode that's tricky for the figures.

shartimus should do stopmotions of the figures transforming rather than slowly transform it on camera, that would be so badass

I'm tempted by Transformers but I collect on a budget and I'm not ready to give up Kotobukiya, Marvel Legends or MOTU yet.

@ShartimusPrime, I have an amazing idea. You should get another one, and paint his eyes purple, to be even more movie accurate. Having one normal, and one painted purple eyes would be sick man. Good idea eah.

I totally painted it with acrylics where silver and black wash!!! The red on the feet and some gold too once you put silver and black on the eyes the sculpture looks so sick love this piece

lol the holder for his sword in truck mode is right between his legs XD

I prefer voyager class figures over leader class figures so this is my chance to get a proper voyager knight mode optimus

1:43 I thought so too, but if you watch the scene in Age of Extinction where Optimus changes his vehicle mode to that one, you see that the blue stripe is there. You can find it in KZread by searching "Autobots Reunite".

Hey Shartimus, love the review as always man. How do you feel about Hot Rod being French in the movie? (as seen in the 'Hot Rod Reveal' trailer that's knocking about which looks to be pirated)

Optimus was in here more than in The Last Knight. Peter Cullen's performance even sounds 100x better.

After watching this I'm on my way to pick him up. Passed on him the last few days but woah!!

it's kind of a galvatron retool, but it looks better than any other Knight Optimus Prime figure we got

The mold of the figure is great. I just wish it had much better paint.

I think Takara Tomy version would be great as they are very detailed and have nice paint apps on the toys.

The one without is only in certain areas of the world. Usually at bigger stores in larger cities.

Know what's funny about this figure is Hasbro obviously knows what the paint job is supposed to look like via the pictures that they put all over the box in yet when you get him in the robot mode his chest is completely in accurate as well as his face paint wise anyways also you are not putting that shield on his arm the right way

Hey shartimus. Iam a big fan from you and optibotimus. I love your videos and have looked all your transformers videos. Oh i am german but i can understand english very well. I have optimus figure,drift, bumblebee, berserker , slash, crossshairs, dark of the moon megatron and mechtech optimus and a lot of cyberverse figures and movie one brawl. You make the best videos. Its funny and interesting. Optimus is better than the aoe figures. But the evasion is the best with this figur. 😊
