#RollBack One reference, which idk if it is a reference, is in the first Micheal Bay TF film where Sam is going to get his first car and we see a yellow Beetle, which I believe was a reference to Bumblebee's vehicle mode in the 80's animated movie. Absolutely loved it.

I know of moments it shows up in every bay film except rotf (it might be there, but I can’t remember it rn) Bumblebee makes it at the end of dotm Optimus makes it when he turns into the new western star in aoe And Anthony Hopkins cane makes it in last knight right before megatron kills him.

To be fair, I personally favored Michael Bay’s first Transformers movie, which made me a fan. And if it weren’t for Bay, Transformers cartoons like Transformers Animated and Transformers Prime wouldn’t exist.

Revenge of the Fallen has always been my favorite of the movies, because it was the first Transformers movie that I had ever seen. Looking back at it I can see why. I loved how many unique characters there were and how different some of them were. I loved how the movie had everything from Devastator, to the little nanobots. I think the best homage from that movie was the slow motion sequence with Optimus shooting Megatron, as it reminds me of the 86 movie when he was jumping over the deceptions and firing at them.

I think it can be heard when Barricade first transforms in TF1, but it sounds digitally altered

When optimus prime transforms in AOE, the autobot logo makes the og sound

You missed what I have always thought was the best call back. When Optimus faces off against Megatron in the first movie, Optimus quotes his Iconic line from TF1986...."One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall"...gave me goosebumps even though Bay messed it up by being camera focused on Dan at the time....

actually in transformers 4 we hear the same transforming sound again. when optimus scans his new truck form he starts to transform into the truck and when his autobot symbol pops up you can here the same sound. but it was cool seeing blackout do it first. also awesome list btw. my favorite moment is when optimus said "one shall stand one shall fall" #rollback

What i loved is in the bumblebee movie when dropkick threw bumblebee and transformed and turned around and punched him like jazz did in the g1 theme song #rollback

I never noticed Drift’s triple-changing ability could be compared to G1 Springer. It’s a funny thing how some parts about Drift were based off of Springer’s iconography, like his season 1 Cyberverse design.

Frank's Voice for Megatron is Iconic. David Kaye sounds intelligent. And Hugo Weaving sounds threatening.

The last name Witwicky is a call back to Spike and Sparkplug’s last name which was also Witwicky and in the credits when it lists the cast, for Sam it says Sam “Spike” Witwicky

Imagine just how much hate Mike Bay could have lost if his designs were more like that fan made Hot Rod. By that I mean, ACTUALLY PAYING RESPECT TO THE SOURCE MATERIAL!!

@@stunnastream11 The "Prime" Prime design was simply a more streamlined Bayverse design. The most it did was remove the doors from besides the chest windows, and moved a wheel down. Then again, the Bay Prime combined a load of design elements from all over, rather than just on version. Torso was powermaster Optimus, hips were the G1 toy, arms were RiD. There really wasn't much new design element wise.

The problem is in the designs, the g1nization makes the characters very strange.

Transformers Prime is one of my favorite Transformers shows, and I was born in 2003 and grew up with the live action films. My first exposure to the original cartoon was the three episodes unlocked by reaching milestones in the Autobot campaign for the Revenge of The Fallen videogame.

I love transformers animated and I didn't know the head in AOE was a reference to TFA

Revenge of the Fallen was probably the first movie I ever saw in theaters, when I was 5. I remember absolutely BALLING over Optimus’s death

The original transforming sound was heard again in transformers 3 when bumblebee was transforming at the end

The classic transformation sound is heard when that guy's phone gets transformed into a transformer in the first film

2:29 Actually, it plays again when Optimus gets his new vehicle mode in AoE. And it somewhat plays when Reedman takes form in ROTF. And when Laserbeak transformered into the pink Bumblebee and Copy Machine. OH and it plays when Edmund Burton's cane turns into a gun right before shooting Megatron. But I'm happy that each Transformer has their unique variation on the PYOO-PYOO PYOO transformation sound.

It has been regarded that Bay's movies, not just the Transformers, are low quality in storytelling, characterization, accuracy (Character personality and motive, and location, and such).hes rather inconsistent in those fields as well, and if he can, will always try to show that American Military is Superior to anyone that opposes them among other reasons. In short, Dumb Fun Blockbusters like a popcorn flick.

I kinda liked the slight reference to the conflict between ratchet and lockdown from the animated series referenced in TF4

I love transformers films and how they put something's from all the older show's in too it and there's so many cartoon's that i think wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the bay film's and @randomblackgamer you're the only content creator that I've seen that make's transformer's vids so good i love you're channel keep up the good work #rollback

The classic G1 transformation sound was used three times in Transformers Dark of the Moon : 1: when laserbeak went from copy machine to robot mode 2: when laserbeak turned into that red version of Bumblebee 3: near the end when bumblebee he went into vehicle mode

You were wrong abt the original noise it was heard in Transformers 4 when Optimus scanned the new truck specifically when the autobots insignia forms on his new form

I think one of my favorite callbacks to some of the classics was the addition of Hot Rod in one of the later movies

Unicron as Earth first aired in the original Transformers: Robots in Disguise (R.I.D. pronounced ‘Rid’). He was defeated by the power of all Earth’s children channeled through Optimus. Really. The Bayverse movies have tons of comics references, too, from Marvel, DreamWave and IDW. Total fanwanking nerdgasms, trust me 😋

10: Never heard again!? It's used at least once per film, typically with big moments like when Optimus scanned the Western Star truck. 5: Optimus combining with another Autobot to gain flight and extra weaponry was introduced with Powermaster Optimus and Godbomber, but specifically Jetfire combining with him was introduced in Armada. The ROTF combination looks more like the G1 powermaster, especially with the way the live action Optimus' chest was already designed after it with the door windows next to the main windshield. I do feel like the movies are treated unfairly, because they take from more than just G1 when all anyone ever seems to want is nothing but G1. Something I've noticed is that Ratchet bears an incredible resemblance to Armada Red Alert with the offroad ambulance form, the skinny legs, and the way the bumper and doors sit on his chest and shoulders. If you were an Armada fan seeing that design, your were probably excited.

11:55 I recognise this background music from somewhere but just can't put my finger on it... (Edit): Oh yeah! It's the menu music from WWE Smackdown 2 on the PS1!

in ROTF when bumblebee in snapping his fingers while playing "im so excited" is a reference to the 86 movie when they are dancing with the junkions. in TLK when bumblebee is blown apart and reconnects himself is also a reference to the 86 movie when ultra magnus is destroyed and then later put back together.

Oh also Hound from AOE is designed after Bulkhead's Prime design. Bulkhead's Animated design took much from G1 Hound, almost to the point you would believe that it's only called Bulkhead because Hound's name couldn't have been used, especially considering the personality lined up perfectly. And then Bulkhead's first appearance in "Energon" had him be a more gruff soldier who enjoyed violence, which is where live Action Hound derives his personality. And then "Energon" in the original dub before being imported had the character that the American show called Bulkhead actually be the Unicron Trilogy's version of Springer. So I think it wasn't that far off for Hound to take Bulkhead's personality, since Bulkhead took Hound's personality.

I love this video but the classic Transforming sound in the cartoon showed up more than once through The Bay films for than you think. None the less, I TOTALLY enjoyed this video so much that I'm going to start The Bay Films tomorrow for Father's Day with my special person. Good work on the video. I personally LOVE The Bay Films alot!!!!!

The US government doesn't. In DotM it was individuals, like the Gould family, that were at high posts, who were contacted by the Decepticons. In AoE the KSI worked with Lockdown, who technically was just a mercenary not a Decepticon. And in TLK, they actually said, that sometimes they have to work with the devil to save people (or something like that). In fact TLK is the only case, where US government was kinda working WITH the Decepticons (in DotM they were forced to work FOR them, not WITH them, and again just individuals, not the government as whole).

I have to say, we have heard this transformation sound in every movie. In tf2 it was the decepticon that stole the allspark shard, tf3 when laserbeak transforms, tf4 when the autobot logo on optimus grill popped up, tf5 when anthony hopkins‘ walking stick transformed into a gun. (Forgot ablut his name)

Carly, who is Spike Wickwicky's girlfriend from the G1 cartoon. Sam, who also has the nickname of Spike. The Bayverse is literally the only transformers continuity to bring back human characters.

Ahh Armada... My favorite time in the Transformers universe. Those were great times...

I think a really good call back to the movie was in the bumblebee movie when they played Stan Bush's You The Touch. My whole theater started singing. #rollback

For number 10 you could 80s transformation sound in DOTM at the end when bumblebee transforms and AOE when OP formed his insignia when he scanned his new truck form

Cool that you had the Lincoln Memorial reference, but you totally missed that the 3rd movie is 90% a two part storyline from G1 S2, when the Decepticons attempted to bring Cybertron to Earth via spacebridge. You also missed Megatron threatening Starscream in the first movie with the classic line "Starscream, you have failed me for the last time."

I think we all can agree that Sam Witwicky is the one to blame for the death of Optimus Prime in Revenge of the Fallen.🙂

2001 rid also had a combined Megatron/Optimus, that's was an evil, Optimus looking, 'first decipticon'

At No. #4, it would be nice if that knight's ship was also called the Ark to complete the reference. But they couldn't do that, because the Ark was already known to be crash landed on the Moon since DotM (and even shown to be destroyed by Cybertron while the planet passed the Moon in TLK). So that ship only references the events that happened to the original G1 Ark, but not the Ark itself. What a pity, it would be cool if that was the actual Ark.

Honestly one of my favorite Cartoon references Is the whole KSI drones thing cause think about it an Episode of Transformers Prime was all about Mech a group of humans trying to build their own transformers and control on their own which just so happened to create the Prime version of Nemesis Prime, seeing how the live-action movies like to Make Megatron/Galvatron trucks just like Optimus I can say that Galvatron was more "Nemesis Prime" then Optimus but the concept of it was still the same, Nemesis Prime/Galvatron was created and control by humans aiming to destroy transformers and make them "better"

Dark of the moon, is my favorite funny thing there are 2 season 2 episodes in g1 that is the primary storyline of dark of the moon. That being humans siding with Megatron and the deceptions and the auto it's leaving Darth in a space ship that Megatron hijacks remotely to attempt to destroy them. Definitely referenced material there.

I've noticed some of these as well. I personally love the Bay films and am very appreciative of them. The first 2 are my favorites.

Transformers prime is definitely the best animated transformers series. And I thank michael bay for making the tranformers films because if not. We wouldn't have the transformers prime masterpiece.

However then that brings up a logistics problem. In the real world "You've got the touch" was created FOR "The Transformers: The movie" in 1986 for the soundtrack. Since Bumblebee takes place in 1987, and The Transformers doesn't exist as a cartoon in that universe, then how does it exist?

They should’ve kept the transformation sound in the movies. Even better, they should’ve used the theme song from the original series.

I like the way the Transformers movies has amazing call backs from not only from the animated G1 & G2 plus movie from the 1980s, but other shows during 1990s, 2000s & 2010s Anime & CGI shows as well. My favourite call back was the Transformation sound in the first movie that was from the G1 series. And it was fantastic to hear and yes it was a shame that it was never heard again in sequel films, but we are going to hear that Transformation sound in the Netflix animated film. As well I like all the other awesome call backs from G1 & G2, I kind like the one from Transformers Prime show which is Unicron, when I saw the trailers and letter the movie, I was surprised the horns sticking out of the ground were came from the same idea that was in the last arc season one in the Prime series. It another shame that we won’t see what going to happen with the sixth movie of Michael Bay as we may see Unicron in his first live action movie appearances.

The original transformation sound is heard throughout the movie series. In TF 07 after BlackOut, we can hear that sound again when the little Nokia bot from hell transforms. In RotF Reedman does the sound, when he transforms from the tiny ball bots. In DotM, BumbleBee makes the sound during his last transformation at the end of the movie. In AoE Optimus makes that sound when he gets the new alt mode (updating from the Evasion mode to the newer truck, when the Autobot insignia appears, the sound can be heard). In TLK when the cane of the old man (Anthony Hopkins) transforms into a weapon, again the sound is heard. The author of this video already acknowledged his mistake, so I'm just making a little recap here. And about Unicron. I also wish they would continue this story, but it seems they eventually abandoned it for the new BumbleBee universe and probably Beeast Wars coming out.

During this Pandemic I've learned to love the Bay films. I look forward to up and coming fans who become directors to make their TF films anyway they want. I will watch and still be a fan. I really like Primes noises tho when he Transforms. He can be pretty noisy!

#umactually in all of the five bayfilms you can hear the transformation sound. Tf1: The blackout transformation, as you said and the Nokia phone. Tf2: Reedman's transformation, from the little ball creatures to his weird body. Tf3: Bumblebee's last transformation at the ending of the movie. Tf4: Optimus' insignia pops up after he acquired his new truck mode. Tf5: When Sir Edmund Burton flips his stick to become a gun so he can attack the decepticons at the ending of the movie.

Also the transformers 2 first fight when prime shoots megatron out of the building referencing the first cartoon movie where prime flips over and shoots megatron and at least 3 other deceptions.

Here are some references to g1 I noticed in ROTF.
