TRANSFORMERS Legacy SANDSTORM Vs G1 Sandstorm - Review

Transformers introduced the Autobot Triple Changers back in 1986, including Sandstorm. This Autobot did not appear in the movie, but in Season 3 when his planet was invaded by Decepticons. In this versus review, Captain Kyle is putting the new Legacy United Sandstorm up against the Generation One version and YOU get to decide which is better.
Sandstorm, in the G1 cartoon, was the leader of the planet Paradron, an isolated world with a plentiful supply of Energon. After the Decepticons discovered the planet, they invaded, and Sandstorm and his people were forced to abandon their home and destroy it to keep Galvatron and his minions from using its energy to conquer the Universe. The G1 version of this character’s toy becomes a dune buggy and a helicopter, along with the normal robot mode. The updated Legacy United version has the same alt modes, but with some additional accessories and is a little bit bigger. Captain Kyle reviews both in detail and you decide which toy is superior.

I had the original back when it first hit shelves in 1986. Glad to see him get a faithful update.
Really hoping to find him and SS86 Springer at retail soon (I do have the Siege Springer but I feel like he’d go well with Sandstorm)

I was a little cool on this one at first because of the gigantic backpack but seeing him in person definitely changed my mind. Maybe my top of 2024 so far...😮
The g1 toys are a great example of kids using their imagination while playing.most may if been bricks with limited articulation but that didnt stop the hours of fun
I would be kind of surprised a G1 KO isn't available on Ali Express or Temu..

Never had the orginal and not getting the new 1 until they make the cartoon version hoping by them the chest is fixed too
I probably wont end up getting either sandstorm, as I should probably be downsizing my collection right now, but both look awesome in their own right, I love how cohesive the g1 sandstorm looks in both of his vehicle modes, and the articulation on the legacy one looks awesome. I'm more of a robot fan than a vehicle one though so legacy has the edge there, but if I had infinite space (and money) I would definitely pick them both up. Also idk how into toy modification you are, but online there looks to be a fix for the chest by sanding down the tabs that plug in a bit.

@@Chillibow Oh I just dont have a ton of space to work with, so I should be a bit more selective on who to collect (I also have legacy nova prime and really dont like the figure so I want to get rid of him.)
my brother has the original, but wow i like the Legacy. tempted to get it!
If you had to choose between legacy sandstorm and the Mechanic Studios Leopard which one would you say is a more fun g1 representation?
I really like your reviews, but I wish you would let us see the transformation process. It always feels like I'm missing something when the figure is suddenly transformed.

Sometimes I show it, but lots of times I fumble through it because the instructions usually are horrible and no one wants to see that. Lol
I have both of the sandstorms and have reviewed them both on my channel. I think the new one is better and is justified for its price point
Just kidding, The new figure is amazing, not flawless but great. a much needed update.
