Please do keep doing the reverse transformation segment. It’s really appreciated to see both versions of a transformation, since there’s often some difference between the two.

Absolutely keep doing the reverse transformation I broke one a year ago bc the car to robot was different from the robot to car

I'm really impressed with that jet mode. Usually jetformers have a really undesirably kibbly mess of an underside, but Skyquake has to have one of the cleanest jet modes I've ever seen.

​@@greenglassblock1324 the earth rise Screamer wasn't bad either. I got the coronation pack with the pauldrons, opening hands, throne, cape and crown, same figure just with accessories and it's nice and clean in both modes with pretty much no kibble.

This guy was made this faithful to the source material because of the huge backlash on Arcee and Bulkhead. And keep doing the reverse transformation, it is such a nice touch.

I don’t think so. This guy was not made in a few months. It takes longer to be able to engineer TF toys, so I’d say it was just a coincidence that he follows the source material better than Bulk or Arcee.

One of the most Underrated Decepticons throughout all of Transformers Prime but he's missing his Proximity Bombs.

Yeah, I wish they could've worked some extra joints into the wings so they could point down for Skyquake and Dreadwing or up like they do now for the inevitable G1 Skyquake and MW Starscream repaints.

Reversing transformation, in general, can be a really handy thing to refer to when you've got a new toy, or just dug out an old toy and literally forgotten what to do with it. :)

This is just a sweet figure, will be happy to snatch him up! Love the mini gun he comes with, also the slight hint of Dreadwing in the form of the sword embedded within it!

5:56 The gimmick didn’t have an official name, but internally Hasbro referred to them as “Powerizers.” They were also called “Arms Micron,” in Japan.

Powerizers actually referred to the voyager class during that time, with deluxes being revealers and leaders being weaponizers. Arms Micron was also just the name of the Takara Prime line, though it was also used for the targetmaster adjacent buildable, transformable weapons/buddies that were included with their releases of the figures in place of the weapons that hasbro included.

The combination with needlenose probably comes from one of the MANY possible reuses of the mold, as G1 Dreadwind and Needlenose as G1 Blackwing. There's also a pretty big list of other possible redecos: - Prime Dreadwing - Machine Wars Starscream - G1 Skyquake - G2 Dreadwing? (Needlenose as G2 Smokescreen?) - Zombie Skyquake - Cybertron Starscream? - Any other big jet transformer

Skyquake and predaking were always my favorite designs from prime, so cool that quake finally got the treatment he deserves

The face looks like Tarn and I can’t unsee it. His waist rotation looks a bit weird. But definitely the best looking prime universe figure and one I’m done for getting. Awesome review!

Those reverse transformations and doing it both ways are awesome and you can't imagine how much it really helps us out and we super appreciate it and all the hard work my friend

Also the instructions which come with the figures aren’t all that straight forward, it’s great that TF collectors give us both transformations so we can figure them out!

Posing him dismembering Junkions and Autobot Modulators is going to be fun.

It'd be really cool if DNA designs made an upgrade kit that included a new chest piece and parts to make it look more Prime accurate

It’s more the fact that we found out that he was a twin in season 2 via Dreadwing, his whole relationship with his brother and seeing them together but ultimately not seeing it felt like a missed opportunity but still cool to get those two.

yep, this went from an "okay, thsi is cool but will probably get the Dreadwing repaint," to, "Yeah I want both." this thing is so, so cool, I love it, and I love he looks like a leader instead of a leader-priced voyager.

I think the reverse transformation is REALLY helpful - I'm 100% behind you keeping it in the videos please :)

Finally we actually get a good look at this. Thanks for taking the time to try to learn everything about the figures and pointing out all the articulation instead of rushing out reviews without mentioning most the features, like another reviewer. Even if you don’t review it first you definitely will have the most thorough of the early videos, and I appreciate that.

This is one of the best use of transforming joint as an actual articulation in recent years in my opinion. Good job as always!

Man it brings me back good memories from Optibotimus when he does the reverse Transformation in his videos

Looking at the figure I think Hasbro meant it for its G1 version but, as in the past, releases the redeco/retool first. But that doesn't change the fact that he's a great figure.

I just received mine this morning. So far the best Legacy figure of the year.💯

While I would have preferred a 1 to 1 Prime design, this is definetly the much appreciated love letter that those first three horribly failed to deliver. Love both of his modes and... oh boi... he surely have a presence! He looks majestic! Also, I appreciate seeing the transformation in both ways, it can help fully understanding how to move the parts.

Personally I prefer Dreadwing's color scheme (and longer inclusion in the show), but glad to see how great the figure is! Now just to wait for the repaint.

Just generally cool to get both him and Dreadwing again in a modern day TF line, plus they’ve one upped their R.I.D Prime voyagers back in the 2010’s which is cool!

I hope they also do a bayverse with a G1 ish twist like authentics barricade for example

-Legacy Evolution Skyquake from the Prime Universe looks amazing. Heavily maintaining his Prime show appearance, G1ified a little, and has hints of his Decepticon Predator toy looks. The sword and machine gun are cool. 8:38 Optimus Prime: It has been awhile Skyquake. Skyquake: Optimus Prime, I haven't seen you since the Battle of Technahar. Megatron ordered me to annihilate you. -Transformation to robot to jet and back again is very involved. 13:33 Skyquake: Air superiority achieved. -Jet mode looks as awesome has his robot mode. It's sharp and aerodynamic. -Looking forward to his blue repaint as his twin brother Dreadwing, and possibly a repaint as his Decepticon Predator figure. As the tabs and evo-fusion gimmick with Needlenose may be a hint, of what else is to come with this Skyquake mold.

Definitely to get this guy The jet combined mode with Needdlenose remind me of ROTF Mindwipe and his Scout class compatible as you said

Holy shit he is much better then I anticipated. The posability really sold me, butterfly, waist swivel and ab crunch on a mainline figure?!?!? Im so happy!

I’m excited for this dude, especially the eventual Dreadwing. Even if I didn’t know the dude, looks badass and I desperately need more Decepticons.

I could see people adding some more red to turn him into a pre-cassette Slugfest.

Oh my gosh, Legacy Evolution Skyquake is so SUPERIOR! I love his Evo-Fusion gimmick with Needlenose, this gimmick does remind me to original Transformers toy, that's such a super sweet touch from Hasbro 😊. Despite Skyquake is die so quickly in Transformers Prime and become a zombie robot 🤖, however i still want to try to pick up this guy. Unlike Legacy Bulkhead, Arcee and Knock Out, this design is almost similar to original Transformers Prime toy Skyquake, that's super sweet touch for my opinion. For me Skyquake and Needlenose can become as great Decepticon partner attempt his Evo-Fusion gimmick, great video, PrimevsPrime 🤗.

I'm fairly certain Skyquake went through a major redesign towards the end of development, and there are some clear artifacts left over from this. His elbows are mismatched, but they function identically. There's a pivoting mushroom joint near the landing gear that goes completely unused. The directions promote the idea of a solid object passing through another solid object. The back has a massive gap that sticks out behind his head. The tabs on the wings don't ever line up the way they need to. I believe that the original transformation had the canopy sliding into the cockpit space and the whole nose spinning around. This solved all of the issues I have with the figure. The ugly gap behind his head is nowhere to be seen. The wings tab into the back properly. The kicker? This concept makes the weight of the figure significantly more central and fills out his chest more, which would eliminate the need for heels, which he doesn't have. Furthermore, I believe that the redesign was done specifically to dump the accurate cockpit torso in favor of the g1 torso since the shaping of everything seems to suggest that the original plan was more screen-accurate. So Hasbro essentially gave us a worse figure because they wanted to jack themselves off to g1 some more like the last 5 years weren't enough already.

i found by not feeding the cockpit cover through it helps support the entire wing assembly and stops it from slipping down.

This looks good, but I'll be waiting for Dreadwing.. I missed the TFP version, they're very expensive nowadays.. but this looks interesting also..

Skyquake- What a figure the weapons, alt mode, and robot mode is just perfect just a big ole g1 and prime universe combination styled seeker 9.5 outta 10

Nice review. I have Skyquake on preorder and can't wait to get him. I like the Legacy Bulkhead and I think it was supposed to be a G1 version of Animated Bulkhead not Prime even though they said Prime on release probably bc of popularity. Xtransbots is making a MP version of Bulkhead that is taking queues from the Legacy one and it looks amazing with the G1 inspiration. We have APC if we want something closer to the original. I like that Hasbro is doing these G1 -esque versions and I hope one day we get a G1 style Prime and/or Cyberverse Bumblebee.

Ooooh! This could work as a good Jetfire mold!

Hmmm I like Skyquake as a character more, but I always liked the Dreadwing colors more. Maybe I should wait for a repaint?

Found Dreadwing recently and I love him, wish I could find and get Skyquake as well. However, I sincerely hope we get a repaint of this figure soon that will make him look more like the original G1 Predator, especially since the mold is already based on him, all they have to do is change the headsculpt and paintjob.

When the original dreadwing came out in g2, he came with a name dumped smokescreen(who was a jet). Hasbro is probably going to repaint needle nose into that smokescreen to combine with the inevitable dreadwing repaint.

I always appreciate when transformations are shown both ways. Also, I pre-ordered the figure before the video was half over.

I hope they repaint Skyquake into Dreadwing.

I'm passing on Skyquake, because he was pretty much a one off character who got killed in the ep he appeared, thus I felt no real attachment to him, so I'm going to wait for the repaint into Prime Dreadwing, thou I felt Dreadwing's death was just not right in the show, he was Megatron's right hand bot and yet, Megatron picks Starscream over him, it didn't feel right because Starscream hadn't earned the right to be made Megatron's right hand again

I was EXTREMELY worried after seeing TFA Prowl, but this soothes me. This right here is a Generations figure. A figure that won’t clash with other designs.

I really like this mould. I really hope we get a recolor in black with a new head as Machine Wars Starscream. The one thing that never worked with MW Starscream was the original Skyquake head, otherwise he is super sick looking. I really want this to happen.

I gotta say I've got some high hopes for what they'll do with the designs (Season 1-2 and beast hunters), Megatron, Unicron, Shockwave and Predaking. Because this figure was always one of my most hoped for after owning the original for so long. I loved the TFP show storyline and designs. Please Hasbro do the rest of the figures the justice arcee and Bulkhead were deprived of 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I think, even as fictional aircraft, that Skyquake's jet mode would be compatible with an aircraft carrier. This matches his reference jet, the F-35, in this case, since it's carrier compatible, the F-35B, and would make sense in his folding wings as carrier aircraft typically have some sort of mechanism to shorten the wings so that the aircraft carrier could store more aircraft and have more aircraft on deck as well.

I don’t think they need to do any out-of-universe Easter eggs or G1-ifying of legacy figures, just look at Armada Hotshot, Starscream, and Megatron. They were fully true to source material and still improved on the problems with the old figures. They could’ve given him a panel on top of the jet mode that could hinge out to show battle damage, and maybe a little bumblebee to peg next to it and called it good

Overall I like the figure but i'll wait on the Dreadwing repaint or maybe wait even longer and hope for a Predator Skyquake paint. The gun bothers me though..it's painfully tiny.

I have to be honest; for all I like the figure and the alt mode a lot, I think the combination with Needlenose just looks a bit goofy. It really just looks like "a plane sitting on top of another plane" and not really organic as a combination. I think Needlenose is too big for it. Would have quite liked to have seen some sort of Core Class figure with that sort of compatibility though; maybe some sort of variant of Prime Soundwave in Predator Drone alt mode would have looked sweet pegged on top?

At first I was a bit iffy on this figure due to the chest, but now it's grown on me. Hope they remold the weapon for a dreadwing repaint, cause I'm definitely gonna need two of this mold
