well, i think a lot of the reason people might claim the 2nd film is strongest is because he killed Optimus, but it's important to note that Optimus was: 1. alone 2. stabbed in the back while tired from fighting 3. already fighting off Megatron, Grindor and Starscream all at once 4. The autobots only came to his help AFTER he got stabbed, so i guess they took a wrong turn at some freeway?

I think 07 Megatron is the strongest in my opinion. He was an absolute menace. And as a 7 year old he scared when I saw the first film.

I agree with this list entirely! Megatron was the strongest in the first movie since he tossed Optimus around like a rag doll. In the second movie, Optimus gained the upper hand during the forest battle which forced Megatron to call reinforcements. Optimus only died since he was distracted. He wasn’t as intimidating in the third movie as he was in the first one. As Galvatron, he was invincible since he had a hole in his chest. In the fifth movie, his robot design was so awesome!

I think Optimus only got beaten up in the first film because he was trying to talk Megatron down more than kill him, Optimus was fighting to stop him whereas Megatron was fighting to kill him

2007 will always be my favorite for several reasons, the whole movie up till the final act built him up as an unstoppable badass, which he actually ended up being once he finally took the spotlight. plus his 2007 design was always my favorite amongst the 5, he looked so much more imposing. I just wish he had a bit more screen time toward the end

Facts, his sick cannon literally one shotted Optimus like 30ft away, he was one shotting jazz and ripped him apart easily, even sentinel on cybertron feared that version of megatron, he couldn’t beat him so join him, if sentinel was so powerful he would’ve killed Megs and stopped the war as starscream would be very easy to take care off

Definitely the first film all the Deceptions lost character and power in the later films. I dont even think Decepticons were in TF4. Humans are more technologically advanced than Transformers?!?

Well, humans are know to quickly adapt new technologies into their own, soooo yeah, while not stronger physically (obvious), the TF LA humans could be a bit more advanced technologically, however you have to take into account that they were also getting weaker because there wasn't enough energon to repair enough wounds.

@@danielm.595 I'll give you lack of energon only because Michael Bay didnt follow the source material. The Transformers made energon from Earths energy sources. Michael Bay didnt follow his own source material with the Allspark. But, first movie Blackout is taking multiple rounds and missile in the military base and LA. Now one missile kills them. And humans dont reverse engineer a million years of technology in 4 yrs. You give us too much credit. The only thing the 3rd move got right was Decepticons forcing humans to work for them

3 million years of Cybertron's history is the Autobots and Decepticons pissing on each other with the only advancement being space bridges and different energon types

I don’t know why but I love how it looks in dark of the moon, and next the tlk but as a kid the fist form of megatron terrified me

Especially in the first script. He didn’t want to fight in a endless war so he made a deal with prime he left earth with his team and tried to rebuild cyber tron by himself

Tf1 megatron had just woken up and was hungrier than ever. After that..it just was never the same for poor megs. Sure, he had his moments..but not like he did in tf1. Another good vid. Thanks. I think his tf3 version (when he showed up in the desert) was his coolest look. He looked oh so...broken. And battered.

Tbh TF5 was his strongest. U know TF1 Optimus is the weakest optimus. Also TF5 meg fought multiple autobots and even with only one arm he almost beat tf5 strongest optimus(maybe strongest or tf2 optimus may be stronger)

Fun fact: Optimus and Megatron had never fought before prior to their 07' encounter. When referring to what we know, Megatron left Cybertron thousands of years ago, and Sentinel left in The Ark shortly after. Which means Optimus would've had to take over for his mentor and lead the Autobots. With Megatron on Earth frozen in the Arctic Circle, it's impossible for them to have fought eachother in the war. The "Megatron!" "PRIMEE!" interaction is a whole lot cooler with that context.

RandomBlackGamer With all due respect, those don't make a whole lot of sense canonically, seeing as how Optimus wasn't in the war at the same time Megatron was. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Optimus only take over once Sentinel left the planet? And Sentinel left after Megatron did cause he was supposed to rendezvous with him on Earth. So...logically, Optimus would've never had the chance to fight Megatron.

I love the tf1 and tf3 megatron

I like Last Knight Megatron the best. He may not have had a lot of screen time or the lingering threat appeal that the first one had, but when he did show up... it was a party. I love the design. Very Ancient Cybertronian esqu with the jet and robot mode as well as weapons. Dark of the Moon is my second favorite. I like seeing Megatron in a weaker more "humble", if you will, state when he was caring for the Decepticon newborns and when he saw that Cybertron was destroyed. Part of me wishes that the ending that they gave him in the comic made it into the movie. It would've given his shift for a truce more weight instead of making it seem like he was trying to deceive Optimus yet again. Galavtron is my least favorite. And 1 and 2 are tied.

Megatron is at his strongest in the first movie in 2007. This was when he's the undisputed leader, in all the other movies he plays time a subservient role to the main villian. Plus, Megatron needed backup almost every time he fought Optimus Prime. *I joke to my Brother that Megatron is damaged goods after the first movie but its true

A factor that always seems to be overlooked in this is that optimus and the autobots were also at their weakest in tf1 due to their being chased throughout the cosmos in protoform mode while megatron was preserved at his peak in the ice and the decepticons had the clear edge in terms of military tech, and resources. I have to give a slight edge to tf5 megatron because he alone carried the decepticons nearly to victory when the rest aside from nitro Zeus kicked the bucket pretty early in the film. Also we know from what Joshua Joyce said that he reinforced the transformers he built with tougher and leaner materials, which quintessa then added upon and reinforced further in tlk. Without a doubt in terms of sheer brawn I think it is clear that tf5 megatron is stronger for enduring 3 battles back to back with no medical support, raking on the human military and autobots equipped with sufficiently strong weaponry to efficiently kill decepticons, and the real tell to me was pinning optimus to the ground with one hand. In every other film that required 2 hands and I think that alone is roughly enough support for my argument.

I definitely agree that DOTM Megs was the coolest-looking of the movie Megatrons, but also the weakest of them. I’m a sucker for the whole damaged-desert-warrior look he had in the film, and the truck mode was a decent Idea, making him more of a direct counterpart to Optimus. But he did basically nothing but sit and watch all the fights go down and only fight once for like, 10 seconds.

I hated Optimus Prime for killing Megatron in Dark of the Moon.. Loved the ROTF look of Megatron but his badaassery in TF1 is unmatched..

I think tf5 Megatron is number one he overpowered optimus for a second with one arm in took on all the autobots in the final battle

In all fairness to Meg5, he was legit the only other person meaningfully doing stuff on his team. Nitro Zeus for some reason lasted even after Megatron was kicked out of the fighting area and led to fall to his death. Meanwhile: Mohawk died alone and without any fanfare Onslaught died by getting double-teamed by Drift and Crosshairs Dreadbot got chewed up by Grimlock and just up and died Barricade, while pretty active in the earlier portion of the film, suddenly left the final battle, or was killed offscreen.

@@TCTheDS replace Mohawk with Swindle, replace Dreadbot with Blastoff, and if Nitro Zeus is replaced by a...."spare" Brawl, then we'd actually get the Combaticons in the movie, and maybe we wouldn't have to dedicate some of the cgi budget to the Infernocons, who don't talk, are barely on screen for more than 3 minutes, and get taken out all at once WITH JUST ONE SWING.

If I ever get the opportunity to make my own Transformers film series, I'll make sure that every third party villain that was in the bayverse becomes a name on Megatron's list of known victims.

TF 2007 and TF:TLK Megatron are by far the best incarnations of Megatron in the movies. TF 2007 Megatron is such a powerhouse and a tank that Optimus struggles to even put a dent to Megatron and is getting ragdolled by him. The power gap between the two is just immense that Optimus didn't even bother to think that he could stand a chance against Megatron in a fight and would rather go suicidal with the Allspark just to end the war. TF:TLK Megatron is also strong, and is definitely close to the level of his peak strength like in the 2007 movie. The dude is on par or even slightly stronger to the strongest Optimus incarnation we've got so far. He fought four Autobots at once and he even managed to pin down Optimus with just one arm. It's a shame we didn't get to see more of him in that movie.

I’d say that first film megatron is definitely the strongest, although his last knight version might be very highly up there.

07 was his strongest form since he was already used to his new body unlike the others when he constantly kept getting new bodies

Between TF5 and TF1 I'd argue TF1 is the weaker one, the reason is because the Optimus Prime he fought is far weaker in TF1 than TF5. Although Optimus could have been holding back due to the heavy population of Mission City, while the Forest Battle had just him, Sam, and the Decepticons.

Well, I like all the Megatron’s in their own respected ways. Tf1 Megatron was a beast, and who could have destroyed all the Autobots if Sam was gone. Tf2 Megatron is one of the coolest, the blade arm was a sick weapon when used right. Tf3 Megatron is not bad, he was actually the first Megatron form I ever saw, even had a toy of him. Tf4 Megatron/Galvatron is very underrated, and I think he should’ve had more screen time. Tf5 Megatron is one of the best transformers and my 2nd fav Megatron design. He just battled everyone and is my pick for the strongest, as it literally took an army of Autobots to take em down.

I love the tf5 megatron design more than any of the others His design combines quintessa’s knightly aesthetic with the best part of his designs from the aligned continuity designs just wish he was more of a threat on his own he definitely appears stronger than 2007 megatron with superior armour and weapons and he’s not even confirmed dead he was only kicked through the wall he could still fly in his bot mode we sadly will never get to see his return but he absolutely survived

I love that MEGATRON always have a badass and cool design in every transformers

I think the shotgun was not just a replacement due to wanting a cooler Megatron look but him contemplating on his mistakes, think about how his body in tf1 is balanced, then 2 it’s thrown off due to the pincer right arm and skeletal left arm

It's such a disappointment that Galvatron didn't have any fight scenes as mentionedin the video too. He looked so cool, still didn't get a chance to reveal his true power because of the screen time and the lack of his weapons. Otherwise Galvatron was the coolest of all Megatron forms in my opinion.

another flaw for megatron rotf, is his hand cannon carried some weight so it was hard for him to fight with hit, that's why he missed a shot at optimums juring the forest fight (he was about to shoot optimus when blackouts helicopter blade came flying at megatron, the blade hit him and through his aim off, this incident caused him to shoot the side, which also in thiis process brought him to his knees).

You know when Transformers the ride Megatron was kind of a combination of his first reformed true he was mostly Dark of the Moon Megatron but he was at the physical and mental capacity of his first form while also sporting Fusion Cannon of his second form he's going to be just as powerful and formidable as the first movies interation while maintaining the cool design of the third in the weapon of the second so I might actually consider him a six variation maybe should have been included in this

my favorite design for Megatron is the dotm version. but there's a few things I'd change if I were in charge of his design. 1. make his alt mode clean and a shiny silver and black, as a callback to his g1 colors (but the worn look is cool also) 2. give him his fusion cannon from tlk, retractable sword from rotf, and chain whip from tf-2007 3. make him as strong, intelligent, and agile as he was in tf-2007, aoe, and tlk 4. have him team up with the autobots to fight quintessa 5. frank Welker voice from tf prime

The reason why the design changes can't be applied is because Megatron in DOTM was literaly rusty. His alt mode was showing who he became after ROTF: A strong warrior who got badly injured, humiliated, lost hopes of victory, can't fight anymore because he's been away of the battlefield for a long time, and can't comeback since he has no one with him (no army). He was far from the first Megatron, who had looks that described him perfectly (a big ass two-hand cannon and an alt mode that looks too badass to be real).

This could be in Rise of the Beasts. The only difference is that he would have the TLK head and the rest of his body from TF07

For Bay films hopefully not it's best to let sleeping dogs lie in this case unless you want to see Megatron and the Deceptions to get disrespected even further. As for the reboot hopefully there are more movies.

@@revampedrenegotiate that’s because it’s the armor of you watch the scene when megatron was rebuilt into galvatron by unicron you can see how complex they are when you remove the Blocky armor

Honestly the Revenge of the Fallen Megatron is my favourite form of the Live Action Movie Megatron's. I loved how it was all asymmetrical, the giant shoulder spoke on one side just screams Megatron for me nowadays. I'm hoping that as the reboot continues, we keep the Megatron looking spiky gimmick. I'm a fan of how Megatron looked in the original Cartoon. But still, Megatron being a Cybertronian vehicle, his head fully visible, his body spiky and looking like I would hurt to even try to punch him. Standing high above all other transformers, even Prime himself. That's what I'm hoping we get to see as the reboot continues.

The Last Knight megatron design , weapons and jet mode were all the best we've seen him as in my opinion

Tf5 Megatron is probably my favorite look for him while it was never explained how he got like that it's his best look it's really imposing and his mouth guard was amazing with an almost predator like design

first form of Megatron in bayformers was by far his strongest because he was most familiar with his gear then in DOTM, TLK etc. he goes weaker due to major gear changes and then being forced to get used to having a new body, weaponry than all of his old ones. so his Cybertronian form was much stronger

Tbh TF5 was his strongest. U know TF1 Optimus is the weakest optimus. Also TF5 meg fought multiple autobots and even with only one arm he almost beat tf5 strongest optimus(maybe strongest or tf2 optimus may be stronger)

I just think that for the most part they had little to no clue what they were doing with Megatron. He his intimidation factor went downhill after the first movie and he was literally relagated to a sideline role after that even though he should have been this big scary bad guy who keeps coming back and nearly killing everyone

Megatron looks like he was already rusting in ROTF
