Thank you so much! Multiple attempts, finally tried without transferring photos, keeping tapping the iphone screen to stay open and it has worked! Flippin nightmare, no help from their end, so very glad you have helped! Just for info, as may be useful for others - my iphone would only go on wi-fi once I had taken the sim card from my android phone and put it in. Right, now to get these apps set up, check the messages and try and upload photos to Google. All with a phone whose battery suddenly died and keeps switching itself off!

I actually didn’t run into any issues when I was moving someone from a Xiaomi to an iPhone a few months ago. Guess I was just extremely lucky. 😀 I even transferred all the photos through this (to be fair, there weren’t very many of them). That said - these are all still very useful tips; especially ejecting the SIM card before you start. I’d even say this may be applicable to moving from an older iPhone to a newer one to some extent. The eSIM gave me a minor headache when I was moving into the 15 Pro last September. Hope I’ll remember this next time I’m moving phones. Thanks for the video, very nicely done. Subscribed. 😊

For some reason transferring my Google account hang the iPhone (Android Move to IOS app showed complete but the iPhone progress stayed at one spot for too long). After a few trial-and-error resets and restarting the process transfer (without including the google account) it worked beautifully!

Appreciate this Dayo, I've been trying this transfer a bazillion times the last few days, I've done everything I've seen in other videos (i.e. forget other WIFI networks, turn off cellular, notifications, etc.) but nobody has said to not transfer photos. Recently switched from iPad to Galaxy Tab. Am really liking it and planning to switch my phone over to Galaxy too when my contract ends. I’m surprised how straightforward the process is. I wouldn’t have expected the corresponding Android apps to just download automatically and for them to be in the right spots and folders on both the Home Screen and Apps Drawer. Cool to see how the reverse process occurs too

TYSM for this video, I was waiting with bated breath until the transfer got completed. Luckily it was successful in the 1st go. My main concern was WhatsApp and photos/videos which was safely transferred to my new iPhone.

Thank you veryyyyyyy much this was very helpful..one more tip: be extra patient the estimated time was 23 minutes but it actually took over 5 hours and the last minute alone took over an hour so be patient i almost cancelled it but got busy with a phone call and came back to find it complete yaaaaaaayyyy

Great video, i move from my OnePlus Open to my 15 Pro Max and vice versa, then im stuck with a bunch of contacts, missing photos, etc. pretty frustrating and frankly embarrassing when someone texts me and i dont know who it is.

Apple can make it more easy now as they have type c, so direct cable to cable transfer would be fast and easy.

It took 4 attempts. As you suggested, it is best to be babysitting your phones during the migration to make sure it works. I really only took 30 minutes on the last try. What a stupid stressful journey lol

I reset about a dozen times, selected whatsapp on every migration attempt, but I still never get the screen at 17:00 after the verification code . Iphone goes straight to telling me there is no backup on icloud instead of pulling up the transfer chats from android. I get 5 empty group chats and contacts. That's it. No chat history. I've looked all over internet for answers/solutions. I am so close to blowing up. 🤬

At minute 3, if I understand correctly, on iPhone, settings>display and brightness>auto lock

We just got the one ui 6.1 update on s23 series and we havent got the new always on display any thoughts on that?

You are supposed to have both phones charging while doing this. I'm not sure why, but the Apple how to video states that this is very important.

I see a lot of different Chinese phones, and I am not sure which is the best because they all seem like good phones. Seeing that iphone just makes me detest Android even more. I just want the newest iPhone when it comes out this year. I want to wait for the iPhone 16 and then do the monthly pay thing that I hear people talking about so that I will not have to pay the full price all at once.

What I've found to work very well is one of those paid wondershare windows apps, but like, Why tf do I have to spend $20+ on a *PC* application to transfer my stuff between phones? Ridiculous. Apple basically punishes you from even having an Android phone in the first place Sidenote: Using that software DOES allow transferring messages to the iPhone without needing to reset again

It does not work when the phone is in airplane mode, even if you have WiFi and Bluetooth enabled

Been on android for a year and I’ll have a video my experience. Wayyyyy better than I expected and the only reason going back is because of friends and family, but I’ll have another sim in an android and review them cause iPhone is pretty boring but I’ll admit it’s stable.

According to Tim Cook, just buy your mom an iphone. Problem solved. Overall Apple probably doesn't care about transferring process of switching from android to ios because most of their customers just stick with apple. Probably most transfers to new devices are iOS to iOS. And that tranfer is seemless.

Not sure what all this fuss is you’re talking about. I transferred from an S22 ultra to iPhone 15 pro max in Sept and it was completely seamless. All messages and whatsapp transferred exactly where they should be. I think it’s just a scare tactic to prevent people from moving away from Android..

The most powerful thing which Apple has - the iCloud backup. I do love it, but I hate an IPhone. Android phones still don't have the proper backup solutions. Why Google and Samsung try to charge me for the same price as Apple... 🤦🏼‍♂️

Do not that go save what spp and other messages in google photo I save last phone message phone list in goigle photo and juT transfer it back for always something go wrong in other apps use are third part spps also Change iphone max pro with Xperia tranfer app through NFC from iphone to my new Xperia and that work got everything out from Iphone was 2019 so maybe apple closed that but my friend iSe same Trbsfer app in his S20 and work great so Sony tranfer app seem to work on otber android phones and ios 🤔
