The Cessna 404 still remains a great airplane to fly. Love the geared engines and the big props. Very nice plane to fly. My personal favorite is still the C-421 for piston twin.

Hi Konstantin, really enjoyed your flights from Germany to Iceland and then to Greenland. It was odd to see Reykjavik Iceland without it being snow covered in December. I have about 2000+ hrs flying the 404 Titian as a freighter…..a great tough airplane, but the engines can be temperamental and require care and planning to ensure you don’t shock cool them. Treat them right, they can go over factory TBO in 135 with FAA approval….but treat them wrong and they have a shockingly short life, often 600-900 hours…..

Thank u for the video, what i can observe when you are landing - you are on final - the way you respond to movement of the 404 is correct - u don't randomly move the yoke, but feel the need of input. I have seen so many - even airline pilots randomly moving the yoke left and right up and down trying to control the aircraft when the plane was on a stabilized approach. Think this comes from education. Want to have a beer with u one day and happy new year....

I checked ant it looks good on services, fuel etc. I could only assume it is a habit + you fly closer to Faroe Islands - safety iceland half way down the route, but i will study that option to be honest. Wick provides safety equipment and raft rentals, i can also consider it as a benefit to land there…

@@KFEAvia I guess it's the raft rentals etc. And the folks you met seem familiar with that sort of mission. The one time I did such a route we went through Stornoway, Vagar and up to Egilstadir (single engine birdwhacker, so no attempt to go straight to Reykjavik). We brought the oxygen, extra tanks, rafts and life vests from the start though, so I guess the services in Scotland weren't that important.

Hello! Good question, it is different, but not that much. 100-200 Fahrenheit is ok. They don’t have to be the same, they have to be 125 Fahrenheit LESS then a PEAK EGT on a particular engine. Engines are different and can have different EGT, but the same performance.
