TRANS MADEIRA day2 - Liam Moynihan - Crikey its slippery!

Trans Madeira is a big 5 day mountain bike race taking in a massive tour around the Island of Madeira - a tropical mountainous island in the middle of the Atlantic! The weather and terrain are super changeable and the trails are insanely diverse! Each day is a massive outing then the nights are spent in tents, in a different place each night and often on the beach!
Day 2 was another big day, first stage "gamble" was dusty and fast foillowed by some seriously sketchy greasy trails which were like ice to ride on!
My gopro was up to nonsense towards the end of the day so there are a few stages missing but it was back in action again and working a charm for day 3!

great work ... keep them coming.... its good to relive the downhills ,,,, the uphills not so much .

Thanks!! Haha yeh skipping out the big climbs like the videos do would be a pleasure!! Need to include some of the meaty journey from day 3 though!!
Great riding again! When I saw the high specs AND the wet conditions of trail 3, 4 and 5 I was realy afraid of these stages. The uphill was exhausting, the condition so wet... But once on the track it felt not as bad as I feared it would be. Stage 4 was cool and very exhausting. Stage 5 on day 2 was in ny opinion the most difficult Stage of all days (beside stage 1 day 1) because of how steep and exposed it was...

Thanks! Yeh it was pretty treacherous at times on that day. Stage 5 like you say was amazing but really hard going sore on the whole body while being fast and sketchy haha. Had it all!! Fun big days out on the bikes!!

Ahh haha! Which elements were you horrified by? Thank you though! Nice to be called a hero even although I'm not sure we do anything heroic haha!

@@LiamMoynihan 😅 Descending an unpaved mountain at a speed of 60 kilometers and with many turns is really not a heroic act, but rather a mad science 😂 I've watched a lot of your races, you are a hero 👍❤
