Nice video... must say that seeing all those 🦟 flying around it started to feel like summer. Luckily weather was turning better in the end. 🙂

We actually must have been lucky with the midges, because it wasn't that bad compared to the stories, that we had heard from some locals. Maybe also due to the bad weather and the low temperatures in Finland until May.

Yes, it's a lot of work to cut them, but I guess otherwise you will never watch them again. So it's worth it 😉

Amazing trip and work you put to make this edit! I have one question: how many kilometers per day you were making?

Thanks - we're glad that you liked it. Our new videos are cut much faster now, because people said, that theese long riding sequences become boring. We're usually riding between 150 to 250 kilometers a day depending on the weather and the beauty of the tracks. In rare cases, when we have to make distance, it can be much more.

Nein, auf den neuen CRF300L haben wir hinten Wilbers und vorne K-Tech Ventile. Die alten CRF250L sind Standardfahrwerk - nicht mal mit härteren Federn.

Our CRF300Ls have 17000 kilometers now - nothing but normal maintenance. Our older CRF250Ls had ~123000 kilometers when we unfortunately had to sell them in Colombia this may. Almost nothing but normal maintenance - not even valve clearance adjustment. These are for sure some of the most reliable bikes you can buy.

Defenetly It is not recomended to put tent inside the Laavu. Other people with no tent mite want to stay overnight. Those kota and laavu are mostly privat (village commun owned) in south of public. Know what is freely axes whats not. General rule in Finland>>>>think other peoples needs. Fit in that and Have a nice trip.🇫🇮☀️💧❄️☝️

We have the official hut map from www.tulikartta.fi/. I don't think they would provide that map, if the huts would be all private. Of course, we wouldn't put our tent in a Laavu with people around, but there never was anybody - probably also due to the terrible weather. There also never were signs, that any of our used huts were private. We met a lot of locals and they never said, that we're not allowed at these places. And - if we meet locals, we also ask before using facilities like that.

@@RTWriders As a Finn I would not see camping in there as a problem. I have been in a lot of those things and if it does not have any signs that says it is private, I consider it as a public one as there is a looooot of public ones and actually I have never seen one with a sign that says it's private. If someone comes and says something like "painukaa vittuun täältä saatana minun laavu", then I would just apologise and go away and that has never happened to me nor I've ever heard to be happened to anyone. If I camp there and someone else arrives, I have to make some room for them, If I go to reserved laavu or kota, I will just turn away and find some other place but that's just my personal preference. BTW nice video, I learnt some new cool places that I have never heard of before but will visit one day for sure, you earnt a new subscriber :)

@@yrjokalevi Thanks, we really enjoyed Finland a lot, especially these remote areas where you can ride for hours without seeing anybody else. That's something very rare in Europe.
