Trans Euro Trail Norway Day 1 - A Solo Motorcycle Camping Adventure - Dalsland & Värmland, Sweden

Day one on my ride to Trans Euro Trail Norway. Packed up my KTM 790 Adv R with the Mosko Moto Reckless R80 and the Backcountry 40 Duffle with gear for at least 10 days on the trail. First real ride with the NEW ‪@adventurespec‬ Supershirt as well in the layering system. A late stop to set up my Amok Draumr hammock for the night and a meal on the Trangia 27 HA at lake Lilleken, Värmland. Found some nice single malt as travel companion.

    Definitely, sunshine and a great spot! Birds singing, especially the Storlom (Black-throated Diver). Firewood is very welcome, at many wind shields and cabin there are local providing firewood. That is awesome, something to have in mind if there is possibilities to donate to the local fishing club or community.

    Thanks! 🙏 I actually bring up the topic of being alone on a travel or foremost in vast forests. Many are inconvenient with this, but that feeling changes rather quickly if one overcom é these moments the first 3 days. I use to call it the 3 day rule. After tha most of us get along what we are doing alone and need to rely more on our selves. I think that is in the episode when i leave Norway and enter Sweden again in this series. I just brought it up since it came up to me, i'm just to being alone and self reliance but meet people that aren't. Most important is to not give up the first days. You will appreciate it. 💪🤠🔥

    @@Braapncamp I just finished riding the WABDR in Washington state. 4 days, 1000 KMS of mostly dirt. Perfect weather, maybe a touch warm but nothing good hydration couldn't cover. On another note it looks like you were wearing the new Super shirt. I was wanting one but gave up on the wait and bought a ForceField instead. I used it on the trip and it was great. I wore a lite Merino T underneath for total comfort and no smell. LOL. Mosquitos were not too bad. Coffee and Whiskey were great. Scenery was absolutely amazing. Idaho or Oregon next year. Cheers.

I was close to look for alternatives as well since it e´was time to replace the one I had. Great plan there! I did 3000Kms in this trip. I will ad the Kms per day in the video info. Happy trails!

  • @Braapncamp

    @Braapncamp

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi HuMoto! There is not really that much of difference between the green and blue TST routes. Blue could have more demanding parts sometimes, but both could have that. I would see it more that one of them could suite you better than the other in what direction they take you. Both "circumnavigate" Sweden and sometimes that are the same route. I was one of those who crowd funded the Supershirt and also got a VIP code to have the possibility to buy one of the first 200 Supershirts released. I was lucky since they sold out in an hour or so among those who hade the code. It was time for me to replace my old body armor. This is better than my old one for sure 👌 You will see more of it in coming videos.

    Should come in August as far as I have seen. Probably still a limited batch again. Today I went to my dealer to get some rear brake pads for the bike, while I was there I took a closer look at the Rukka body armor that should be the closest competitor to the Supershirt. ... I'm honestly happy that I went with the Supershirt. I actually did not get the feeling that they compare, the Supershirt feels so much more substantial. I will do a review later. In this TET Norway series I will also show it closer, but not with comments on comparison (what I remember 😂).

    Thanks Mike, Offroad riding is not allowed in Sweden or Norway. You have to stick to "roads". That could be bad roads though as long as there is no signs that forbid traffic. Those roads are in general always private though, so the landowner could tell you to leave. Singletracks should be considered as forbidden. Important to use some common sense on what to do or not. 🤠

    You mean the Malt whiskey? It is High Coast distillery, a Swedish whiskey from the area of Kramfors. It si available at Swedish Systembolaget, but sure it could be ordered. www.systembolaget.se/produkt/sprit/high-coast-8237502/ This version is named Berg, means mountain (that suits this trip). I have only tasted it once before and liked it and thought it will be perfect company for this trip specifically. Usually not bringing whiskey on solo trips, but that was nice 😁☝️🔥

    Ahhh, You mean the termos? it is a 0,3 litre non branded termos that I bought at my closest grocery store ICA, they still have them in black, but this color is discontinued since years ago.

Why I show this to others is actually in first hand what you post at, but I have never rally expressed it in that way clearly. I just do and hope that it inspires. Thanks again 💪❤
