Trans America Trail - Virginia Section - Travel Guide

The Trans America Trail Virginia section was amazing. The bad weather only added to the experience. It is primarily through the Appalachia mountains which in the winter and with no leaves made for spectacular views. Joined by our our friends Chris, Yolanda, Bryce and pooch Axel this was an awesome trip!

Great video! Thanks for sharing. Great to see a wonderful trip regular folks can do, without the need for a tricked out rig.

Damascus is an awesome town! Look into riding(bicycle) the Virginia creeper trail! Pretty epic stuff! Also wild ponies up in the higher elevations! I fell in love with that area in 98 when I hiked the Appalachian Trail.. Some of the best scenery in the east!

You don't need to go to Virginia for that, I had coon hunters come on to my farm and my guard dog was okay with the raccoon but not with the hunters dogs being near our flock 😞

@@kwacker44 absolutely! A round those times all trails “should” be open. In all the states up to Mississippi heading west I’ve come across probably 6 closed seasonal gates. And we’re able to go and redo them when back in the area. They were also short bipassable sections
