Trainspotting: East Pakenham Station | Newest Station on the Melbourne network!
Today I do some trainspotting at the newly built East Pakenham Station. The station opened on the 3rd of June 2024 and serves as a terminal for the Pakenham line from Melbourne. The station has two platforms and provides what an average Melbourne railway station would be.
This video was filmed on the 8th of June 2024 during a Saturday afternoon off-peak.
At the time of filming this video, platform 2 was not in operation and displayed it wasn't being used as of the 8th of June 2024.

It’s a nice set up, but a really strange tucked away spot for a train station.

@ianmontgomery7534, Pakenham Station should now serve people who want to get off there. I feel like before East Pakenham, a lot of people got off at Pakenham because: It was the terminal of the line + The only stop for East Pakenham. With the East Pakenham Station now built, people can get off at the stop they wanted without taking other transport.
Great shots of this brand new station! Would love to come down and see it at some point!
