A busy hour at Acton Bridge station on the West Coast Mainline on a cold winter morning, January 14th 2022.
The reason for my visit was to catch LSL's Intercity Class 87 & mk3/DVT set out on its test run to Carlisle, I wanted to catch the set at speed so thought I'd head to one of the small stations along the route. Apologies the lighting is not great! The low winter sun and light morning mist still lingering. It was really quite a challenge to get a good shot in the conditions.
Now I've added all service info on screen for your enjoyment, you might notice a few hefty delays, this was due to trespassers on the line between Preston & Lancaster. Which resulted in many long delays and cancellations.
INCLUDED:
Intercity Class 87/DVT set, Freightliner Class 90's, 66 & class 70! Avanti West Coast Pendolinos, London North Western 350's and a rail engineering "Tamper" train.
