Phil speaks truth. As a former pro natural bodybuilder, my motto has always been 'do it light, and do it right'. focus on control over numbers. Your body can't tell how much something weighs, it can only feel stress. Learn to create that stress with lighter weights and your joints will thank you later in life. Another great collaboration.
Phil seems like a genuinely nice guy. And I love that he is all about technique. A seven-time Mr Olympia doesn't have to Ego lift he's got nothing to prove to anybody. @luffebassen
Жыл бұрын
@@jamiebenson6079 So you clearly not understood what i just wrote. Let me repeat it once more just for you. If you have worked your way up to 16 inch arms, then 95% of people ( my guesstimation) will have reached close to their genetic max and if you would want to get just 1 inch increase over the next like 5-10 years, then you need to be SUPER serious about it and most people are simply not THAT serious, even if they think they train hardcore. Iv personally only just reached 16 in the last few years from doing another form of training. I was stuck at 15 for most of my adult life, despite pushing it hard the first 20 years. So my point is, that NOTHING this guy is gonna show you, is gonna get u anywhere near 20 inch arms, let alone 21. Simply not possible without gear AAANNNDD if you already got 16 inch arms, then you MOST likely already know how to train correctly. So this video should not help u in anyway, unless u are an airhead. He said or showed nothing i didn`t already know and im no pro bodybuilder. Secondly - Adwise from roids users are often useless to natty guys. People on roids can get away with tons of stuff that are not gonna fly if you are natty, such as having a messed up diet or skipping too much sleep of not doing full range of motion or not working hard enough. If you are on the right type of gear and you are responding above Avg. to gear usage, then you can get away with tons of stuff that would have set a natty guy back for years. You need to have things MUCH more dialed in as a natty if u want to push the envelope. So as a natty, you are better off following other natty guys, because they will tell you what u need to hear. Ofc a guy on roids can show you have to move a weight optimally. But im talking overall training adwise here.

For this to happen Experience is needed. As in timing for all the various compounds leading up to a show and especially show Day. This is what Hany provided. And is what all IFBB "coaches" provides. They´re in the IFBB, they know how to train lol.
Always a pleasure to hear an expert expound upon their expertise: not only is there a wealth of knowledge to glean, but the passion and the ability to explain everything concisely and accessibly shine through. Awesome video.
One of your best videos man. This is why Phil Heath is a genuine legend; such valuable, powerful tips.
0:00 - 0:01 the way that mysterious character lasted only for 1 sec is too hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Phil seems like such a great dude, definitely became one of my favorite bodybuilders after watching this

Great dude until you have money. Phil stiole a $80k+ watch from an NFL player and never gave it back and used every loophole he could to get out of it. Man is a liar and a cheat.

@@fawx.1633 How many times have you creamed your jeans to the grapefruit video.
Phil is so humble to share those tips for free to everyone who would watch this video!!!! wow what a great guy!. It was so detailed with out any non sense.
Best workout video I’ve watched. Changed my mindset and got me through minor injury setbacks to get back to my max weight. Awesome content. Love both you guys and what you do.
Phil Heath still going strong 🔥💪
I've been lifting for 17 years and feel like I need to throw everything out and start rewriting the book now. Thanks to you both for the info, much love and respect 💪
This is why I love Phil Heath! After for a few years of not ego lifting, controlling the weights feels so much better! All the injuries I’ve sustained throughout the years, I’m scared of what would happen. This is very insightful! Thank you for this video Will! All love for you brother❤️❤️❤️
Damn Phil is so cool man. Such genuine good energy. A gym sesh would be a dream
Listen, I don't know how I got here but this was what I needed to hear so much. I see everyone around me at the gym doing all these super fast reps on machines or with barbells and I'm over here doing a set slow and holding between each rep because I can feel what it does and that's how my coach taught me in HS. Glad to hear I'm in a good lane. Thank you for an excellent and super helpful video!

My favourite pro to watch train is lee priest, everything is perfect tempo no matter body part what exercise what weight always perfect.
Probably now one of my favourite videos on this platform. Phil acts and speaks like such a gem, and he's so guiding and mentor-like towards Will. Wholesome yet motivational af
I can't believe how much valuable information he was willing to give out to you. That is decades of experience talking. A lifetime of wisdom and work. Bravo! I have a whole new respect for Phil!!!
What a teacher, calm and very level headed !! Time under tension is the shit !! ❤
phil heath is so down to earth. this is so cool to learn from a legend. please make these training with legends vids a series. this and the best/worst gyms series are 🔥
Thank you to both of you. My whole perspective has changed on intensity and time under tension. I hope you do more videos together, would love to learn Phil's perspective with the compound lifts.
One of the most valuable videos I've watched recently! Thank you for the amazing content!
Man we need a part 2!! This video was so motivating. I tried these tips today and can confirm that it hits diffrent!🤯
This video is a game changer, been applying these principles to my last couple workouts, can immediately notice the difference
this has really been inspiring for my own fitness journey! seriously love phil's perspective on fitness on not comparing yourself to others
Underhand triceps pulldown. It's nice to see that validated. Will, my favorite video of yours so far and also a huge thank you to Phil Heath for sharing his knowledge.

Literally no point in it tho, provides no extra benefit than overhand lol
This was a collab I never thought I needed, But I've enjoyed every single second of it. Phil and Will make a great video.
Honestly one of your best videos yet. So much value whether you're training for 10 months or for 10 years. Love this so much dude.
I wish I would've seen this video when it came out. I knew the mind-muscle connection, and I knew it wasn't about setting PRs every workout, but this level of detail is something else. I saw this video a few days ago and started applying these tips in my every workout, every set and every rep. I feel like I'm fng graphing muscle with surgical precision and I'm feeling the burn in crucial parts of the muscle that I've never been able to activate before. Blew my mind (and my body), this is THE best information I've ever encountered regarding exercise science. Thank you both
This was fantastic an very informative, I really like their dynamic, an you could feel the passion. Gotta respect the grind and experience. Thanks for sharing!
Phil is such a humble person. So much knowledge to share. Great video.
this is one of the best videos i ever watched in my entire life i just started going back to the gym two weeks ago and i felt bad because i couldn't use the weights that ive been using but from that video i learned that its not the heavy is the most important but the technique thanks u phil heath
What a great video! Im 100% going to be using these super valuable tips!! This was probably the most enlightening video I've seen on body building
I haven't seen a more educational, interactive and entertaining video in my entire life not even kidding
Dang I tried this type of workout today and man was it intense. I normally feel the pump after a workout but this was next level. Lighter weight than I normally do but each set was crazy and my skin felt so tight! This is legit and I’m excited to keep this style going Edit: I always thought I went through reps slow and controlled until I saw Phil do it. That’s another level and I think we can all learn from that

Bro I just tried that shit too, I am fucking dead lol. The same weight I used to throw around like it was nothing has me wanting to tap out at the 6th rep! Phil gave us gold fr

its quite simple. mind muscle connection. its more important than the weight on the bar.
