You don't have to worry about your gybes for the Defi. Only 3 in a race and it will be carnage anyway. I would look for maximum comfort for ~10-15 minutes on the same reach overpowered. It helps to have the harness really low, so it is pressing the bones of your hips instead of the muscles of your lower back and waist. Try to push it really low and tight. Or go for a Liberty or seat-harness. If you arrive at the gybe marked all cramped and in pain you will be looking forward to a relaxing moment of swimming :)

It is just a combination - weekends, half day during the week (I work 36h) , vacation days and going before or after work. Sometimes I don't surf week after week because of no wind or cold weather. Sometimes multiple sessions a week when it is blowing

Not really free time, I just stopped/ gave up many other things like drinking, watching TV, playing football etc. So just windsurfing became my only and N1 hobby.

Same here, they see you windsurfing during the day. But they don’t see you working at midnight or early mornings when catching up with work… Sadly the part about focus is true, we can’t commit to cute BBQ invites or dinners with family, as we need to be prepared to skip it when the wind finally blows…

why did you switched from Future Fly to FMX Racing?

I didn't switch. I just needed a smaller slalom board for DefiWind. FutureFly smallest is 97L and I have it as well. The FMX is 78L (59 wide)
