Freddie joined us back in July/August 2021. He had been off work in the spring due to an unfortunate abcess in his jaw and gastric ulcers. He then went to my friend Charlotte Lee, Horsehill livery near Sturminster Newton, Dorset to be sold due to owners change of circumstances. I liked him from first seeing his photos. He was pretty weak, and underdeveloped but he has good bones, a wonderful kind personality and potential. Since coming to us he has been having almost weekly flat lessons, hacking, lots of polework to build up his proprioception and strength and more recently i've been introducing some jumping which he loves. in the last month Freddie has really made some progress. He can be very sensitive to the leg and surroundings, like windy weather, however recently we have really clicked and he's managing his work so much more calmly. We knew he would be a project and so far he is proving a fun one. He has been learning to load into the trailer and I plan to take him to his first clinic at the end of the month. exciting times ahead for this chap!
