Totally agree. Every single person watching this vlog has never owned, ridden or spent any significant period of time with Ember so they have no right to criticise. Every horse is different and you need to work out what works for you & them in a partnership. Particularly difficult sometimes when you have a horse that starts off in racing where all they are taught to do is run flat out with little thinking & then he is now having to learn a new way of going which includes changes of pace & drive, stopping, thinking, and having regular conversations with the person on his back. From when you first got him you've come so far! Well done, keep going 😊

Absolutely adore rewatching the video with Justine, it's really nice to listen to her feedback & see what she's spotting (I would have never noticed the back legs bit). It's also worth noting the fact Ember has changed (as you've both said you wouldn't have evented him before) & so you aren't dealing with the same issues you had when you originally swapped to your current bit. Doesn't mean the bit is wrong or bad, just means situations have changed & now it may be time to move on.

My pony was a bit like ember in a gag, I’ve now put her in a Waterford snaffle and it’s made the world of difference and she doesn’t crank her head up in the air anywhere near as badly!! Could be something to consider. You’re so brave taking him out xc!! X

I have a similar ex racehorse turned eventer-in-training and found expert bits comfy barrel universal really helpful with his high head! Great XC round, Ember definitely not lacking scope!😅

You n ember are absolute nutters. All in a fab way of course .. and not forgetting a dossing of justine. Epic mix up vlogg. Loved it .. keepijg it real

Loved this vlog. Re Justine and the supermarket game , another game to play which i do is that if someone leaves thier shopping trolley in the middle of the aisle while they disappear to get some other goodies , i pop a random item in . Served them right for blocking the aisle 😂😂xx

Honestly, to ride without a bit is to pick when on most horses. Half the time I can, half the time I'm bolting 😂 finding the right bit is like finding a needle in a haystack

Ignore people talking about your bit. Until they’ve ridden a fiery ginger ex racer they have no right to comment. I had one and she was a mare so even more spicy! She was put in a hanging cheek and it solved a lot of problems like you’re experiencing with Ember, And as long as you’re a capable rider who knows what they’re doing stronger bits aren’t an issue.

I’m also in the market for a new car!! Looking at a VW but a Tiguan only because I think the Toureg is a bit big for me personally. Thanks for taking us along, hope your advisor will be making more appearances 😉

I've tried various bitless and quite often go out with a headcollar cos it s easy to stop and ha ve a snack...BUT ... if the pony pulls I think pressure on the nose is much harsher than pressure on the mouth. Suggest people try it . Just pusb on your nose and see if you think it s ok

I have a VW Atlas that is an amazing car. It tows my Equitrek Apollo really well, seats 7, has tons of room for dogs, equipment etc. Not sure they have those in the UK (I am in Canada) but I am sure they have something similar from VW.

Always love seeing Justine. Think you outed your Adviser @ Epworth. Good looking bloke. DO NOT by VW. Pain in the neck. Had one and a total nightmare that I got rid of quickly. I drive a Subaru Outback (manual 6 speed). Like the Defender.

I've never had a car with heated seats. Blind spit monitors are my absolute must for cars. I LOVE them. Personally use what keeps you safe. But just don't use a Pelham with converters. There's no reason to it defeats the point of the pelham
