Dan (Drangus) here! Thanks for the nice video, Schnauz! About those tractors: I would have put period-appropriate ones down if they were available, but sadly, the ones that MR included on the IC flatcars do not exist as separate objects that I know of at this time. I’ll do some deep digging, as I suspect they may be what the game calls “child objects” which I could isolate and place as individual assets.

You've got to love those individuals with such a passion for details and authentic looking maps. Just wished for game dev's to be that passioned about their projects and maps. Great video 🙂👍

I grew up in Central Illinois, and I love seeing Midwestern routes. Mountain railroading has been done to death. Wish there were more Midwest routes being made. There were several made for MSTS, but I walked away from MSTS long time ago.

Thank the lord. Picked up the IC Mikado awhile back and was too lazy to create my own scenario to try it out on a route that kinda fit. Definitely gonna download this once the girlfriend leaves. Good shit man thanks for covering this.

The IC is close to my heart! I was born and raised near the Champaign yard and grandad was a welder for the railroad. So great to see an IC route!!! Everyone always doing mountain this and city that while then heartland gets neglected. Thank you so much for covering this. I'll be downloading it today.

Awesome creation. Illinois central was a great railroad and put up one heck of a fight to survive in the 90s. The Springfield connection is the Gulf Mobile & Ohio. Very beautiful route and can't wait to see what's being done with its progress

Amazing to see a route in my neck of the woods! Wish Drangus would’ve gone just a little bit more north into Kankakee, but it’s still an absolutely amazing route!

I will go as far north as Bradley once my initial route plane to Gilman is done. This will include Kankakee, it’s depot, the junction with the Big Four, the yard, and the old roundhouse.

@@DantheRailfanI live in Champaign and the IC is near and dear to me since grandpa was a welder for them. He moved from Paducah to Tuscola and that's where my mom grew up. Anyway, I have been working on a route of Champaign, Rantoul, Tuscola and have tracks most of the way to Danville. If you would be interested in doing anything with that, I would be happy to share! I have no talent for world building like you do! It could be really cool to someday have all of the state mapped or maybe at least Chicago down to Centralia. If you have any interest, please let me know. And thanks so much for this epic route! ❤

Beautiful route, and as a plus, I grew up around the Gulf, Mobile and Ohio and Illinois Central, so GM&O, IC/ICG are favorites of mine. I don't get into old-time railroading because it was before my time, so I find myself wishing this route had been a little more contemporary.

Man, If I knew how to use the route editor properly, TSC would be all I'd use. Seems to be much easier to run than Trainz 22. I'm honestly convinced that trainz is what is wearing my graphics card out. Also, something that I've noticed about TSC vs Trainz is the fact that you don't have to go hunting for dependencies as much.

Schnauz: "Trainz is boring" Players of both games: "as opposed to three hundred miles of the same tree?" _Friendly fire will not be tolerated_ Real talk, how the fuck is TSC _not_ boring by any metric you would call Trainz boring? I wouldn't exactly say the simulation is simplistic anymore, certainly not compared to TSC, as you yourself mentioned the routes are better, and in my opinion the same goes twofold for the actual rolling stock/locomotives you can run on those routes... Then there's the variety, which let's be honest, Trainz has variety, TSC has choices... and not all of them are good choices at that. I play both games so I just don't get the hate that specifically TSC players have for Trainz, like, it's boring? as opposed to DTG releasing the same exact GP9 for literally 13 years in a row? again, How is TSC NOT boring? Even when they make the content absolutely perfectly, and get every single detail right, isn't the point of the game is to literally sit in a cab and drive in a straight line?, how could that possibly be anything besides boring? The only time it's _not_ boring is when something goes wrong... _and that's by design._
