If they went the same speed the Cannada one and Tornado would win since they have the inner line most of the time

Eisenhower’s name is on an A4 because of his service as supreme allied commander in ww2. Great engines and video!

These double header races are amazing. Could this hint at a massive double header race with multiple duos going head to head. Maybe even speed tests and crazy challenges

5:10 in real life, Dominion of Canada has a string tht goes up front to the bell, which the crew in the cab would yank the string, ringing the bell

Aw man: I wanted Scotsman to win (perhaps if you used Mallard instead of UoSA, he might've). Still a very nice vid though, and yes: Scotsman and Tornado look quite alike. :) (It's been a while since I've watched your vids; what happened to your eye?? :l)

Could you do a double header race with American steam locomotives.

Should have used Tornado BR Blue it would be cool 2 greens and 2 blues

Bittern was renamed and renumbered to Dominion of New Zealand for a while, but yes Dominion of New Zealand has been scrapped

Streamlining doesn't do much if it's behind the other engine. Kinda an oversight there LaserJet. (Even if it's a game, it still bugs me)

Wow, you can tell at the beginning of the race, Flying Scotsman and Tornado were very determined.

Flying Scotsman was originally an A1. She was rebuilt into an A3 sometime after she did 100mph.

@ZanderTignor I know but Tornado had to be pushed pretty hard to get to 100mph. Maybe she could do a bit more but the A3's could only just about manage 108mph so given the Peppercorn A1s and the A3s are very well matched to eachother it's likely she can't go much faster.

Nevada actually the Tornado would still win because it has the inner track

Also Dominion of New Zealand was scrapped in the 1960s, but her name plate was saved and used on the engine 4464 Bittern. Dwight D. Eisenhower (originally called Golden Shuttle) and Dominion of Canada (originally called Osprey) were renamed after World War II and both now reside in North America; they were donated as presents to their respective country across the Atlantic. Dwight D. Eisenhower is in the National Railroad Museum in Michigan and Dominion of Canada is in the Canadian Railway Museum in Montréal. Both are on static display.

Superb video Apparently dominion of New Zealand was Bittern. Recently probably a few years ago Bittern changed its name to dominion of New Zealand. Have a look on wiki or something reliable.

Does it make a difference if you put the A4 in the front vs in the back? (Theoretically I'd imagine putting a streamlined loco first would reduce overall drag as it would "shield" the unstreamlined loco, but I'm not sure if TS simulates this)

Oliver can you do a nother bog Race with the topic America vs England with all the biggest strengest and fastest Steam Lokomotives. And all on 100% power. I think that this is very interesting to see.

The streamlining wont work when the A4 is in the back because the air is getting hit by the A3 + the A1 first. Oh well 😂😂

Was it based on which was the fastest A4 from the A4 races? Perhaps a different A4 would make the difference. Btw the A4 design shares with Bugatti back then.
