A factor you should consider is train weight. American passenger coaches are much heavier and often larger than British Coaches. So when racing two locomotives, you should do it without any cars behind them to get a true, unaltered race. In real life the Daylight maxes out at around 112mph, but I'm not sure if the simulator allows it to reach that limit.

No, America doesn't have maglev, and aren't planning on implementing one. From what I've seen and heard Amtrak is building a high speed rail system, not a maglev system. This is because the American railways are more focused on freight, not passenger services. Plus passenger trains in America aren't as popular anymore, so Amtrak can't make as much money to build a maglev. Amtrak could get what they could get, and that is a high speed railway which is better than what we have now, this will also be private to passenger service to make sure there will be as little delays as possible.

LaZeR JET This race wasn't even fair. The Castle Class' top speeds were 102mph, while the Daylight did 110mph. You sayig the Daylight "Losing quite badly" was just pure ignorance. You seriously need to stop restricting the faster loco's speed in order to make the slower one purposely win, which is what you did here. You restricted the Daylight's speed. The Daylight would've crushed that Castle Class had you not restricted it's speed. Get your shit together, I'm disappointed in you.

also the number is not 4999 or 4499. it is 4449 and she is built for both. The GS-4s (4449 is a gs-4) they worked in california pulling 10 hours trains from a big city to a big city working hard. The gs-4s were known to go like 90-100 mph daily and they not only had to pull big long heavy passenger trains, they had to pull big freight trains. That's why 4449 and the rest of her class have big wheels and huge boilers.

Did you think about a review on an ac6000 american locomotive?

If you have a King class (King Goerge V 6000) then do the race again with that (vs Daylight)

When you race and you control one, you don't watch the Steam pressure and you don't notice it DROPPING . So you make the race STUPIDLY unnfaire

That Castle Class' top speed is 102mph, while the Daylight's is 110mph. This wasn't even a real race. It'll only be a real race if you would quit restricting the faster locomotive's speed to something slower than the slower steamer, like in this "race". You restricted the Daylight's speed, because you knew it'd leave the Castle Class behind by a mile if you hadn't. Also, to make an even better and truer race, next time don't make the locomotives pull a anything at all, just let them race without pulling anything. And for the love of god don't limit a locomotive's speed next time, that's low key cheating.

Ye this happened too when the mallard raced against daylight. They weren't pulling any coaches but mallard topped at only 80mph while daylight did 105mph in that episode when irl Mallard did 126mph and daylight at 110mph

In Train Simulator, it isn't capable of 110. It's poorly coded.

Here in America the daylight deisel and steam is considered one of the most beautiful trains in the world

pull the throllte/Regulator back to get more speed. because less steam is going into the pistons and therefore they can go faster due to not having to have so much steam in its pistons.

You realize that it's more about the torque and pulling power than the speed of the locomotives.
