Route Linke Rheinstrecke: Mainz - Koblenz
Scenario: Cold steel
Sony ps5 slim.
Linke Rheinstrecke (literally "Left Rhein Line") is a DLC route for Train Sim World 3. It features the titular Linke Rheinstrecke line between the cities of Mainz and Koblenz, following the left bank of the river Rhein. It is set during the 1990's, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the reunification of Germany, and the unification of Deutsche Bundesbahn and Deutsche Reichsbahn.
The DB BR 103 in its classic "Trans Europ Express" livery appears providing the line's non-stop intercity services, using Avmz and Bvmz IC coaches with their 'Red Band' design. The DB BR 110 in the Orient Red livery appears for both regional passenger and freight services, the former using n-Wagen coaches and the Karlsruhe Kopf cab car in its mint livery, and the latter using Shimmns-u 708 and Tadgs 959 wagons.
In addition, the DB BR 628 layers onto this route, providing shorter regional passenger services that depart the line via various branch lines. The DB BR ICE 1 also layers onto the route, with a pair of intercity services.
The Linke Rheinstrecke was build in phases by various companies between 1843 and 1859. Stretching from Mainz to Köln across its full length, it was a major route for long-distance railway traffic for most of its life thanks to the southern end of the line's close proximity to Frankfurt, connecting two of West Germany's most important cities. In 2002, the Köln-Frankfurt High-Speed Line opened, and most long-distance services moved to it, making the Linke Rheinstrecke much quieter and more focused on regional services.
