A day out on a train ride to the Scottish seaside town of Largs and a ferry ride over to Great Cumbrae Isle.
Жүктеу.....

My late dad and I spent many a wonderful day in Largs in my childhood. We would go out on fishing trips on a wee boat called ," THE GIRL IRENE," which would depart from the seafront directly in front of that big red church / cathedral ?. ❤

Thank you for this lovely video. I'm going next week. Can't wait. Staying in Largs and visiting the Isle of Cumbrae and the Isle of Arran. Please can you remember how long it took on the bus from the ferry to Millport? The Battle of Largs 1263 was won by Largs but the Norwegians only sent a small fleet. Loved seeing the Cathedral of the Isles.

Have been to Largs many years ago for the small sailing boat World Championships, it's so funny that for the first day, the race was cancelled due to strong wind, the second day the race was cancelled because of no wind.

Wondering what the prices for the journey are, what the facilities on the trains and ferries are like. A Google search suggests the ferry trip lasts about ten minutes each way, is this accurate or does it vary with weather conditions? Good to see some sights signposted locally, it would be useful to see more of Great Dunbrae as it looks very peaceful and pretty.

Thanks for watching, prices vary a lot but we found if you book ahead you tend to save a bit, the facilities are passable and the ferry ride is unbelievable and weather does have an affect but the best way to find out is go there and enjoy like we did.
