I said that in the last video! His ears are kinda pointy and he’s beautiful curls add to the illusion. Glad I’m not the only one who saw it 😻. He’s so majestic in long hair! He has curls so many girls would kill for! 😹

Whenever I play this game, I fully commit myself to the contracts first. Lindsay was unfortunately a case study in how to burn yourself if you’re after points 😅

I don't expect him to know it but I do expect my brain to go "oh that felt wrong" when I hear it said like that. Like someone saying "grot ess cue" instead of grotesque. 😂

"Duluth! We got you, Duluth! I see you." I don't. I see St. Paul (or Minneapolis, or the Twin Cities). Sure, it's NAMED Duluth but Duluth is a port city on Lake Superior; it's a few hundred miles from where this game puts it.

Need 8 inches in total iirc… and needs to be 8 inches from a pony tail, not the scalp (so they can keep the hair in a bundle, unless they maybe did a bunch of tiny ponytails and combine them?)

I don't blame you guys for mispronouncing Sault Ste. Marie; it should be "SUE-saint-ma-REE." It's on the border of Michigan and Canada, so there's a significant French influence there.

16:48 & 31:05 - Trevor the Bug Exterminator! ... This was a weird game, but quite fun to watch. I was rooting for Jack the entire time! One day, I would like to see Gavin, Jeremy, Alfredo, and Geoff play this game.

I knew from the start Jack was going to win. He'd obviously played this before and knew exactly what he was doing. Trevor had played it too but not as much. If they wanted a slightly more equal footing they should have played an expansion.

No, it's definitely salt. I don't know what region you're from, but the English word is salt, and that pronunciation doesn't change for majority of the US.

@@deadersurvival4716 Idk what maps you're looking at, but I think you're somehow confusing Sault Saint Marie, Michigan, (derived from the French for _the rapids of Saint Mary_ ) with Salt Lake City, Utah (derived from the English for _the city next to the Great Salt Lake_ ).

37:17 Nah. Lindsay got burned by impatience... they made nothing but short paths and got barely any points. 4 points for a 3 long path is only 1.33 per piece. That's insignificant compared to 15 for a 6 long, which is 2.5 per piece. Basically, most of Jack's pieces were worth twice as much. The only reason to ever go for short paths is to complete a contract or connect for the longest route.

This game is about contracts more so than going for big routes. The purpose of big routes is more so to prevent being blocked than getting lots of points.

@@drsyndrome3486 Jack completed 2 contracts and won by a landslide (over Michael and Treh - whom completed 3 and 2) The contracts are certainly significant, but the long routes are your bread and butter. Jack was at 70-80 points from the routes and then got 40 more from end-game.

next time play with Bruce Greene and make him bring his conductor hat and train whistle

What loop? This move completed the loop out from Nashville to Oklahoma City and back. The part that wasn't needed was Nashville to Atlanta (or arguably Little Rock, though that's worth more)

@@CharlestonAES Yes, but if they wanted the points for Longest Train, then Miami - Atlanta - Nashville - Little Rock - Oklahoma - Kansas - Saint Louis - Nashville - Raleigh - Pittsburgh - Toronto is the longest. Without the connection between Oklahoma and Little Rock there are too many "arms" and you'd lose six from New Orleans - Little Rock - Nashville, Oklahoma - Kansas - Saint Louis - Nashville, or Miami - Atlanta - Nashville. Sort of a moot point with the "Red (Train) Baron" running across the country and the "Green Machine" covering most of the perimeter, but still. [EDIT]: Removed part of the chain because the yellow "line" (Nashville to Pittsburgh) is hard to differentiate from the yellow trains.

Have not watched all the video but if lindsey can link up her east and west she has quite a long route.

I know Lindsay is chaotic, but I sometimes wonder about them. They already had their first contract. Why didn’t they focus more on their other two? I know they can focus when they set their mind to it.

I genuinely think the whole "chaos" thing is just cover for some kind of undiagnosed processing disorder or something. The rules and strategy here couldn't be simpler but they're just not able to understand the problem space or react or make connections or think ahead in 90% of the stuff they play and try to cover it up with awkwardness and humour

Yeah, I don't think there's a choice being made. I'm not a neurologist -although I am a medic - and they consistently remind me of my lectures about Blooms Taxonomy as it applies to cognitive processing disorders. The inconsistency is a giveaway as well; the whole "burn cards" thing literally three or four times, being unable to strategise even a step ahead, being unable to move on from the first route task - people with a CPD seem fine one day then massively struggle the next. You see this behaviour constantly even when they're really trying hard to win. This is in no way meant to be an insult, but I genuinely think they may have a processing disorder.
