🚆 Train cab ride on a rush-hour commuter train (Switzerland | S42 Zurich - Muri AG)

Welcome aboard the S42 commuter service, which is a bit different than most of the other commuter trains you're used to see here. It only runs monday to friday and only during the morning and evening rush hour. There is no service during the day, on weekends or at nights. It is the very definition of a commuter train: It is used by commuters to get from their homes to their workplaces and back home in the evening. There are barely tourists or other travellers to be seen on those trains, but those who are smart enough to leave their cars at home and take the train into the busy city centre. Of course, during non-operational times of the S42 it is still possible to reach all the stops that it serves and it doesn't even take any longer, but it is necessary to switch trains during one point of the journey. And this is where the S42 comes into play and connects the "Freiamt" region, located in the canton of Aargau, with an (almost) non-stop service in the Zurich Region and the city centre of Zurich.

Some tracks I have not traveled before nor started from. P18 Zurich. Of interest only. The train we where running next to with the Migros reefer containers on the front, could that have come from the Sargans general area?

Wohin fahrt der Zug, der bei 12:53 vorbei fährt, in eine technische Anlage in Zürich?
Was ist der Grund für das ruckelnde Bild in der Szene von 0:11 bis 0:41? Ich habe zum Test auf verschiedenen Geräten geschaut und auf dem Smart-TV ist der Effekt ausgeprägter als auf einem Tablet, aber letztlich ist die ursprünglich flüssige Zugbewegung ruckelig ... nein, kein Netzwerk oder Pufferproblem. Ist die Szene mit einer anderen Bildrate als die des Render-Projektes aufgenommen? Oder etwa mit variabler Bildrate?

Das stimmt, habe ich leider zu spät bemerkt. Tatsächlich war in dem Moment eine andere Kamera am Werk. Sollte die Ausnahme sein, sorry. ;-)

Naja, auf anderen Seite kann es auch sein, dass es gar nicht so leicht ist, die Kamera dauerhaft still zu halten, nach einer gewissen Zeit kriegt man es eben auch zu spüren, wer weiss wie lang er sie in den Händen hielt

@@irinashidou9725 Das hast Du anscheinend missverstanden: es geht nicht um Bildwackler (im Sinne keiner Bildstabilisierung), sondern um eine ruckelnde Bildfolge, also nicht mehr zeitlich gleichmäßig aufeinanderfolgende Einzelbilder. Das ist ein u.a. bei iPhones häufiger zu sehender Effekt, weil da irgendwas arg aus dem Tritt gerät.

😂😂😂 it kind og does. Btw the town isn't actually called that. Dottikon and Dintikon are two separate towns that share one railroad station.

Yup, the time between 6:00-9:00 am in the morning and 4:00-7:00 pm in the evening
Vraiment le niveau zéro d'un déplacement en train, même si c'est bien fait techniquement ! Imaginez un simulateur de vol dans lequel on ne disposerait que d'une seule vue à travers le pare-brise… impensable en 2019, bientôt 2020 !
