Watch as Emir Kusturica follows Diego Maradona, a decorated football player and coach, leading the Argentinian national team between 2008 and 2010, whose mastery of his sport and scandalous presence rendered him a legend of the international football scene.
Kusturica, an award-winning Serbian director who had won Palme d'Or twice, enjoyed unlimited access to the man himself. In the film, he traces Maradona's story from the humblest of beginnings to world domination, followed by his fall from grace through drug abuse and weight problems before rehabilitation and rebirth. The documentary premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2008.
