It was genuinely shocking when we started to learn how much of a fan Jay and Lex+Otis actually are. Didn't feel real. They are true fans!

One thing I do hope you guys translate into the animation is the violence and the gore; despite how enchanting the world of Cradle is, it is also brutal. I liked seeing a bit of it at 0:25 but I hope you guys aren't afraid to go all the way. Like when Lindon gets cut in half by Markuth, literally taking the legs from under him. I believe the hopelessness he felt in that moment is genuinely an important feeling to convey as it becomes a part of him and eventually is what drives him towards his future.

Jai Long is my favorite design. He looks perfect.

I just finished the cradle series and oh my gosh-it was one of the BEST series I've ever listened to (on audible). The ending is just-wow! I'm not even disappointed that the story is over. It was so refreshing, the world building, the character building, the character DEVELOPMENT, the pacing. all of it-AMAZING.

I really hope that whatever comes from the kickstarter can kickstart much more. I made my largest kickstarter contribution ever for this, so hope it does really well.

This is how the creative process SHOULD work. The director loves and buys into the story. The creator works in a positive mindset with the artists. Imagine if Star Wars took this approach what could be achieved. So excited for this. Making me want to re-listen to the audiobooks.

I need you all, Will and Team, to understand something. When I got the email about the Cradle animation, I was scared. Scared because I love these characters, I love the image of them that I’ve created in my own head and scared that bringing them to life visually would ruin it. Honestly I thought it would taint my fondness of Cradle. But when I saw this clip, and little blue, and linden and Yerin I kid you not my jaw dropped. And my hands were over my mouth the entire time. I. love. this. I love how they look and I genuinely got goosebumps and a pang in my chest. Like I’m semi broke but you best believe I will be donating what I can to this because WOW. Guys, this is so cool! It looks so so good! Like awe man…I’m tearing up a little. Freaking awesome job so far.

Damn I’m picturing orthos black flame building up along that segmented neck now. For someone who can’t really visualise what they read, these clips have given me such insight into the characters that I am rereading unsouled again and it’s like I have an extended version or something because there is so much more depth to the story now. Tnx!

I always felt like House of Blades was written to be a YA Anime just like this. I loved how I could picture the exact anime frames and scenes every single page of the book. Please make it happen!!

Also… releasing a double-series on Empires: Sea and Shadow and Empires: Shadow and Sea seems like the sort of unique concept that Netflix would TOTALLY be into. I’ve always loved the unique take on how you wrote two books at once, forcing the readers to accidentally take sides by reading one or the other first.

I hope we make it to the full animation! Or even if we don't, i hope the animatic is enough to get it made somewhere else maybe. Whatever happens, im happy to have more cradle content!

I've been following Cradle for years, I read the first books as they came out, and I am so unbelievably excited this is happening. When LoVM got an animated show my first thought was Cradle would be perfect for animation. Now seeing some of my favorite moments come to life isnt just a dream. Im personally hoping for the bloodforged iron body, Yerin and Lindons fight in Wintersteel and if were lucky some sage comands to name a few. I truly hope this project succeeds and will donate myself when I'm able. Congratulations as well this is an incredible opportunity and achievement.

I always thought animation was the way to go. Cradle has become one of my favorites series. I need to go back to this world. Ik u guys are going to do this justice can’t wait.

I am late to the party but Will I am so happy that Jay is working alongside you. I'm a big fan of his work; his Dr. Strange animated film was one of the things that got me into reading about the character in comics(He's my favorite superhero) and that film was awesome. So to see him tackle this series which you built with your hard work of you and your team, that is awesome. I wish nothing but the best for all of you. Take pride in how awesome Cradle has been as an indie author and a big inspiration for me and my own work.

Super excited for the animation. I will say though pretty much every character design I’ve seen besides Lindon is drastically different then how I imagined them in the book. Not bad necessarily but it’s just interesting to see how other people imagined it

Will Wight, you're the most influential writer in my whole lifetime. (Which isn't as long as you'd think.) Well, I like Sci-Fi too, but you've made me once more a fan of earthly powers. I'm so hyped for the anime. this is absolutely incredible, and I cannot wait to see this. The only possible criticism is that Lindon looks like a nice guy - I have no wish to punch this guy in the face just for how his face looks! What happened to our surly "face-that-could-start-fights" hero?

Hi will, big fan here. Amazing job on the trailer! I think the wings looked great! For Suriel I guess a more ethereal look would be perfect, I suggest a close up shot of her eye with the circling gold runes! Also Lindon and Yerin seem a bit old for 17, I suggest making them a bit younger so they can age slightly as the story goes forward. Either way it looks great, I’m sure you get a great animation out of it!
