Trail Tip Tuesday Convert Servo To A Winch

Ever wonder what you can do with your RTR servo? Well, how about convert it into a winch? In this video we show you step-by-step how to do just that.
Tech Note: The potentiometer tells the circuitry in the servo the position of the output gear. This is how the servo knows if it's centered, or is in the neutral position. By locking this out and disconnecting it from the gears (along with removing the stop pin on the output gear), the servo is allowed free movement and can stop in any part of the rotation.

I did this but winch is constantly slowly going in, potentiometer is very sensitive
Do I need an ESC if I just want it to be able to move back and forth? I am using this with a 6V 1700 Mah NiMih battery for my RC sailboat.
I have all ready done the same thang. To my stock RTR EnDuro servo.. you much have seen my video. COOL cool stuff. I have one the first EnDuro SenDero.. got it before the release date. On eBay box bamage. No problems to report! . How can I see what model # mine is . ?? . I wounded? .
