Trail Camera Videos - “The River” Part 1 ~ MULTIPLE SPECIES!

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Maine Wildlife Trail Camera Adventures - "The River" part 1 Winter and Spring.
Trail camera footage from a single camera overlooking a stream connected to a river winter through spring. Multiple species, including some wonderful Otter footage, and Fisher, Mink, Beaver, Muskrat, Coyote, Deer, Raccoon, Bobcat, Wood Ducks, Pileated Woodpecker, and Belted Kingfisher. Also, I share with you my behind the scenes as I check the camera and you can see how this area changes from winter into spring. Please let me know which clip is your favorite in the comments below. Part 2 will include footage from summer and fall, and I added a second camera for a different angle. So, stay tuned for that.

Thanks MW for more great video here, and such a cool variety of critters. Also, very nice to hear the vocalizations of these animals. I chuckled when the turkey gobbled (17:23) and stopped the otters in their tracks for a second! Your efforts are so appreciated.

Wow! That's beautiful! The coyotes don't have any respect for the otter scent post. 😊😊

Great question! The otters have used it as scent marking spot, and toilet.

@@MaineWoodsbooger thank you! I could see them putting their scent there, and the other animals would pee on it to cover their scent with their own scent so to speak.. I was just curious as to what it was about that one spot that all the species seemed to be attracted to it.. The otters were definitely the cutest though..

@@lauragray6482 I find that otter scent spots do attract many other species as scent posts/spots are one of my favorite places to set up a camera. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!

Great video! question: at night does the cam show a light when an animals walks by? Do you care to share what towns you have your camera in? if not I totally get it. thanks.

Thanks and great question! There is a light, but it's an infrared light, so it's not very bright. Most animals are not bothered by it at all, and are usually just curious. I do not share the towns I have my cams in for very obvious reasons, mainly theft. :)
