I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer right when Patrick and Steve Jobs died from it. I could not imagine surviving after hearing they died. I opened my eyes after the surgery in disbelief that I survived such very aggressive surgery. It is a monster out thing and so pendulous even this many year after removing most of my pancreas. I am sorry that Patrick had to feel that pain for so long. He gave the world some awesome movies.

Wow. Your post intrigues me. First off, it's wonderful news and congratulations on surviving this horrible disease. My mom died of pancreatic cancer. She was gone 6 months after the diagnosis. Please, I hope you'll tell me how you're doing. I hope very well. ❤ I'd also love to know more about the post-surgery regimen you're undertaking. Thank you so much.

Great series, even better book. Watch the movie, then read the book to have the characters in your head. You will be glad you did. Same thing with Dances with Wolves.

This is a good overview of the impressive life of Patrick Swayze, but notably excludes the horrific physical and mental abuse he suffered at the hands of his wife especially in the last few months. She locked Patrick in their mansion and denied access to his family and friends, failed to attend to his health and hygiene needs, beat him, and took on many lovers, male and female, while he was imprisoned. She also forged his signature on a will she generated that denied Patrick's family any share of his wealth and assets, believed to be around $40 million.

Now for some truth... Patrick Swayze smoked four packs of cigarettes a day!, and he even smoked when he had cancer, he was also a heavy drinker/alcoholic for 10+ years of his life. Besides all of Patrick Swayze's accomplishments, the underlying meaning behind this story is don't drink and don't smoke and you'll live a long happy life, whether you're an actor or not. Live healthy! 😇

I would of loved to meet the man. I so enjoyed his movies , Dirty Dancing and Ghosts were wonderful to me he played his parts so well it was like he could touch your soul it all seemed so real. In Road House he pulled you right in the movie you could feel his feelings or I could. I am so proud to have the opportunity to see many of his movies. I thought he was an awesome actor it seems to come easy to him and no matter what part he played he was the best he could be. I would of loved for him to live longer he had so much to share with the world. God Bless you Patrick and thank you gone but never forgotten. ♥️🙏♥️

OMG, Ghost. I had an amazing man in my life, and he was struck by a car going about 60 or so KM. I had a vision and ran to find him. Found him dead. He died where I stood, and I couldn't get past the guilt I felt. My sister thought it would be a fantastic idea to rent Ghost. It's not a good time for that 😂. She meant well, and my other sister told her not to choose that movie. 30 years later, I love Ghost. It helps when you can relate and open up to. bringing 😅 yes big sis thannnnnks. 😂❤😊

Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze, whose online 'chemistry' belied their cold, almost hostile relationship to each other in real life, paid a heavy price for their charisma, talent and genius. They both separately suffered traumatic psychological conditions, in the case of Swayze, as well as physical injuries. Cancer ultimately led to the death of Swayze, at the age of 57. Grey, otoh, suffered grievous life-threatening injuries from a tragic car accident, with Mathew Broderick in the driver's seat. A real case of having to fight to the death, the many demons that can plague people's lives.
