Doesn't matter. The officer will always ask for permission to search and if refused they'll bring in the dog. Hazen PD makes near all thier revenue off Interstate 40 travelers. Pull it up on Google maps. Tiny town a mile off the interstate with a corridor along the road to the interstate and then several miles east and west along 40.

The key is to not have a story, but an actual itinerary that you and your partner create, and actually do. Say you’re going to Florida and trafficking something back. Plan a mini vacation, so said vacation activities Disney World etc. the truth is something you or your partner will never get wrong, and youll effortlessly tell the story cuz it actually happened

This is what happens when your supplier is being monitored by the DEA. The DEA informs law enforcement to be on the lookout for the vehicle. They generally don't give two shits whether or not the shipment makes it to it's destination. That is small fries. And, the DEA is too busy trying to building their case against the dealer. They're just throwing the local cops a bone.

In this case I would bet that it was simply the RV being profiled. It’s really not that uncommon for police to pick RVs and Uhauls out of a group of traffic, especially along I40 and especially in these pass thru states

It's a custom to stand like that where they are from probably. They aren't American. Middle Eastern or European.

The only one "following too close" was that F150 behind that 18 wheeler!! "We've been ratted out boys!!"

I’ve seen this happen so much, they always conduct the stop from “following too close”. Seen a video on here of two older guys in suits that ended up with over 50 pounds of fentanyl. Tipped off for sure.

Not always it happened to me and guy told me it was because I rubbed my chin and was looking suspicious but the truth of the matter is I was a young black guy driving through Mississippi on the highway with a Louisiana license plate so they wanted to see if I was trafficking drugs

The cop was tipped off. He knew this RV was coming by and approximately when. Someone was arrested and told on the two guys in the RV

Profiled the rv and the f150 probably had license plate from Arkansas. I see it happen all the time in Texas 2 cars will literally commit the same infraction but it's always the out of state getting pulled over. Like I can literally run a stop sign and a car from Arizona stops on the white line there pulling over the car from Arizona first

You must be a cop because there's something wrong with your story. One said they're coming from Oklahoma going to Florida and one said they're heading to Missouri.

Always getting pulled over for the same reason, following too close. I even watched it in slow motion and they were not following too close and then the first 2 semi truck were flying with absolutely no gap between them but got away with it. Like I said before if you get on I-40 through Arkansas with an out of state tag you're most likely to get pulled over unless you're a truck driver. I-40 is the drug highway

NST police videos are all in Arkansas, which is known as "The Natural State".

I-40 is a major route for the transportation of illegal drugs . I-40 & I-30 has seen really high amounts of drugs found lately . They use different routes to try to skirt law enforcement , I-4- between Little Rock and Memphis has so much traffic at all hours of the day and night . So many 18-wheelers especially at night , it's hell driving in that crazy mess . The one guy telling the officer that he was the ' Nicest officer he had ever dealt with ' , sounds like the feller has been around .

I guess Hazen PD didn't get the memo! The SJC has already ruled that you cannot delay a traffic stop to bring in a drug dog. You MUST issue the citation in a timely manner. Also RV's require a Search Warrant for any search beyond the cab area. Having been an LEO when I was younger, I paid attention to the SJC!

So I want to start by saying I’m glad this played out the way it did. But legitimate question.. After the officer had told them that he stopped them for said reason and then immediately stated he wasn’t writing a ticket, confirmed license, registration, insurance, and then proceeded to ask for permission to search which was denied… If the subject would have asked if he was being detained and could leave would he had been free to go?

For the stop to have been completed the officer would’ve handed him the ticket/warning. Then the driver would’ve been free to go.

It's a thigh type holster - keeps the gun off the duty belt and closer to the hand at rest. Just another way to carry the pistol.

ASP has primary jurisdiction on all state highways. However city police have jurisdiction if the freeway runs through their area. Further, an agreement can be made with the county sheriff so that a city agency like Hazen Police can have countywide jurisdiction.

If a constables township includes the interstate, the arkansas courts ruled they also have jurisdiction. NST I'm sure you are familiar with the case.

Definitely was not tipped off. He had legitimate reasons to stop them because of the blinker/ lane switch and following too closely. The reason he wanted to search was the different stories. Why would you drive to Arkansas from Oklahoma going to Missouri? Oklahoma borders Missouri, so no need to go into Arkansas at all. Also, depending on where you’re coming from in Oklahoma, you would not go through Arkansas to get to Florida.
