郭女王 Tofu Because of Confucian influence, ancient Koreans hardly had their hair cut. So I think some could possibly make these kinds of hairstyle with their own hair... 🤔

They did use wigs, they were called "gache". My Mom told me most were made from human hair, but also were made from horse hair, and black silk thread. And also lacquered wood in the case of the concubines wedding hairpeice.

Maybe it adds volume to the hair? I mean some people have thin hair volume which is why hair extensions are made to add some volume to it. I dunno bout this whole korean thing but maybe it's something related to that??

I think her hair is naturally silky and super dark. So when you look at her hair with the bright background it looks oily and wet :) a lot of asians have those kinda hair
