[Traditional Japanese Events] Enjoying "Wagashi Day" with my one-year-old son

June 16th is Japanese Sweets Day.
Japanese Sweets Day is a Japanese custom that has existed since the Heian period.
On this day, I made "anmitsu" that my son can eat!
My son seemed to enjoy the texture of red beans, agar, and shiratama dumplings.
He had a big smile when he tried red bean paste for the first time 😊💕
He had a subtle expression when he tried the agar.
For the adults, we had mugwort powder, so we made it matcha-like.
During this hot and humid season, cold and refreshing snacks like anmitsu are the best.
The mugwort matcha-like treat was also delicious, soothed by the aroma of mugwort.
I would like to make this a day every year where I can enjoy making Japanese sweets with my son.
