During our time in Lhasa, Tibet, we stayed at one of the best traditional Tibetan style guest houses in Lhasa. #Lhasa #Tibet #hotel
Hang-Suk Trichang Labrang Hotel - Situated in the old city of Lhasa, very close to Barkhor Street, this is a fantastic traditional Tibetan hotel. I like how they've preserved the traditional building, the courtyard, and the rooms.
Our room was huge, and in this video I'll give you a full tour of our mega-room in a traditional Tibetan style hotel in Lhasa.
Thank you to Travel China & Tibet (www.travelchinatibet.com/), they sponsored my trip to Tibet, and they did an amazing job to cater to the exact things I wanted to do. Highly recommended when you visit Tibet.

Hi Mark, Thanks for covering Tibet and I have been following your series with great interest. Your passion, respect and love of Tibetan culture is much appreciated. To respond to your question. This boutique hotel you were staying is former estate house or temple of one of two tutors of HH Dalai Lama, Trichang Labrang, who were greatly revered by Tibetans. We stayed there a few years ago as well. So you are truly blessed!. I can understand why you can’t or don’t say Dalai Lama’s name there who is omnipresent and the biggest elephant in the room no one talks about but it’s in every Tibetans heart. Oh there used to very popular Indian, Nepalese restaurant in this hotel called Namaste and they serve amazing breakfast -:). Thuk Je Che (thank you in Tibetan) Mark.

moonlike 2008, wow, so history of Tibet and mention of Dalai Lama is political to you and in China that no one is allowed to talk about.Suffocating! That’s exactly the point that there is no freedom there and to demonstrate Tibetan identity is considered reactionary, separatist. Basically the goal is to whitewash the history and identity, correct?
