I love the use of the eggbeater hand drill on the jig.

Most interesting. Here in England floats like that large one would be used for pike baits. A small sail could be added to make a long range drifter float.

I just started making bobbers from wine corks with my daughter. I told her she should make some for both her grandfathers for Father's Day and she's SUPER exited about the idea. Especially since she can personalize them.

Lovely! Thank you for showing this. I'm going to try making some. Something I'll use to ensure the adhesive holds the thread instantly is superglue accelerator spray. Once again thank you.

Nice; for threading, I found an archery serving tool works really well (used to add serving to a bow string). Finish off with the serving knot too, makes it quite neat.

That is a great idea! and if i am really making a "keeper" and not rushing, I will use better knots to tie off the thread. This is a fast and dirty way to get them in the water!! LOL

These are so fine looking! I love the hand crank drill setup you created. I just ordered and hand crank drill for my own use after seeing this video! May I ask what you charged for the 3 pack of these floats when you sold them?

I think you may need a taller, narrower dipping jar and do the complete float in one dip.

CA glue is not so good for joining porous material like cork so you would be better off with a glue with more gap filling properties. Some polyurethane glue would probably work well.
