Traditional ASSAMESE THALI with Pork Curry, Fish Curry in Delhi, India
Hello Peeps,
I am back on trying North Eastern food. This time it was the very famous Assamese thali. I loved the authentic way of presenting it. It was tasting so good yet different. North eastern food has never bee disappointing. The food was pocket friendly and worthy. I will recommend this place for a good experience. It is located in the heart of Delhi. Order for their authentic north eastern thali and you will indeed be happy.

Bhai main Assam se Hoon.. Akbar Assam aah jao.. Guwahati ke pas main Mera ghr Hain.. .
You should start with the band dishes first and last main pork and fish try karna chahiye.. That way the intensity of flavour going in increasing order and your taste buds are appreciative the flavours better

Try birds like pigeons and ducks as well as pork and fishes and silkworm's and snails they are delicious delicacy
I would recommend you to again visit an authentic Assamese Cuisine Restaurant where you can try various dishes including different variations of Pork like...Pork with Lai Xaak(Mustard Greens) and Pork with Seseme seeds, Sticky Rice, Khar etc.

That's like a plain Assamese dish. If guests arrives then more varieties of foods been made😁😁. In Northeast we don't prefer Masalas like in the North Indian cuisine. Mostly raw forms of herbs used in NE dishes. We like to have the taste of veggies original taste not Masalas. And the wild herbs we use in those cuisines, it will blow your mind. So, visit NE and experience it yourself.

The Assamese Platter is better at Bhansaghar, Humayunpur, Safdarjung than in Dilli Hatt... Try there!!!

Pork with lai xaak is Traditional food of Tai Ahom people kela and Mising Kachari people of Upper Assam....Lower Assam Bodo people will not understand.....Only Bongali Bangladeshi Mia Muslim and Bamun people don't eat pork.....

Wrong concept. 70% of the Assamese people i.e sub clans eat pork since ages except for a few. Lai xakh with gahori,gahori khorika ,gahori khorisa etc are some of the common and widely used assamese gahori recipes . Remaining 30% most of them eat outside Or don't eat at all. Mainly because of religious reasons. Also its not rigid.

Traditional Assamese food does not have pork which is not allowed. In olden days even chicken was not allowed inside the premises. Chicken eggs was also same.
