Every year on my son Mackenzie's birthday (today) I play this song on my timeline. He loved this song since it came out, he is 29 today and it is good to see him still tap his toes and sing along. Thank you for the great memory Tracy, love you.

My dad has 8 siblings,his father was an electrician one of the best in San Antonio at the time,his dad would leave to Cuero Texas,where he had another family at,he was a bad alcoholic,and abusive to all of them.well my dad became one of the best pilots in the army and Air Force,and the other day we’re driving he told me when his dad died he wasn’t sad.he told me his never told him he was proud of him,this song reminds me of his story

Because you have a heart and soul. Some artists just hit the nail on the head. It's beautiful.

When this came out I was 17 doing a bid. When I called my moms would sing this. Been 5 months since the lord called my momma home. And time marchs on!!! Smh

I only know of this song because my dad likes to listen to Country in the car and I happened to be doing a late night drive. I actually turn the radio off normally when I drive because of various reasons. Literally had to deal with hearing “Take Me To Church” every 10 to 15 minutes at one point when I was still in Highschool on both the bus and when I got my license. Though this song, I really like because it paints a story that one can reflect themselves on with over the course of several years.

Favorite Tracy Lawrence Song. ❤️🎵

Time marches on.....

I started singing to my Sister’s records back in early ‘60’s. I continued singing classes in Junior High & thru High School. Thru a lot of effort I’ve achieved a vocal range of 5 octaves. Or to make it easier for nonsingers, my vocal range equals (or overwhelms Mariah Carrie.
