LYRICS: What you go and do Go and give a boy a gun Now there ain't no place to run to Ain't no place to run When he holds it in his hand He feel Mighty He feel strong Now there ain't no place to run to Ain't no place to run One day he may come back Repay us for what we've done There where you Gonna run to Where you gonna run But one fine day All our problems will be solved 'Cause Bang Bang Bang We shoot him down Give him drugs and give him candy Anything Oh to make him think he's happy So he won't ever come for us He won't ever come But if he does And if there's no one else around Bang Bang Bang We shoot him down If he Preys only on his Neighbors Brothers, Sisters and Friends We'll consider it a favor We'll consider justice done But if he comes for you and me And we can place a gun in his hand Bang Bang Bang We Shoot him down What you go and do Go and give a boy a gun Now theree ain't no place to run to Ain't no place to run Now we'll all be at his mercy If he decides to hunt us down 'Cause there ain't no place to run to Ain't no place to run He wants the chances that you took from him Oh and nothing that you own Then they'll be no place to run to They'll be no place to run And if he finds himself to be A reflection of us all Bang Bang Bang He shoot us down Before you can raise your eyes to read The writing on the wall Bang Bang Bang He shoot you down Before you can Bridge the Gulf between And Embrace him in your arms Bang Bang Bang He shoot you down

These are the type of lyrics I strive to have, insightful and honest-thought inducing. How Tracy sings them and the music that accompany the words are superb. To illustrate how great her lyrics are they can be sung in her style, to pop all the way to Funk, Hard Rock to Heavy Metal and be well-suited and just as impactful. Amazing!

Tracy has always been acutely aware of the heartache of the world in which we live. Be it personal loss, Domestic Violence, gun laws gone mad or any manner of injustice, Tracy gets down to the nitty-gritty. This lady tells it as it is, yet somehow refrains from passing judgement. Tracy has a pure soul and quietly goes about her business of helping those less fortunate. When will people realise that the pen is indeed mightier than the sword or in this case, gun?

The stark simplistic approach Tracy brings to her music emphasizes her rich and beautiful voice, which carries her thought provoking and honest lyrics. The music is lovely, but not flashy. My favorite part is around 4:04 where her voice crackles. It feels so human. Raw.

"Before you can bridge the gulf between And embrace him in your arms Bang bang bang" There's so much humanity and care in this song, and so much understanding. It also struck me how real, natural and humanly beautiful the faces in the video clip were. They also took the care not to promote violence at all, and yet convey what the lyrics are about. Well done!

Really would love to see more of her. Fantastic !

With all the troubles in 2020, this song got bells ringing in my brain circa 30 years after. I wish children could listen to pure advice and pick from it. 100% void from immorality, 100% decent and no racism. Wish it could restream like in the old days of the 90s when I walked to school listening to it. There would be no gun shootings (Bang bang bang) and we would need not to find a place to run to.
