This is truly what happened for me. In 1993 I was ready to give up. I'd even told my mom, "She's not out there Mom, it's just not in the cards". Her being my mom said, "Baby, don't give up - When you least expect it, she'll be there". Not more than two weeks later, my buddy invited me out on a random Thursday night to shoot pool and have a few beers. I certainly wasn't meeting up with him to meet the girl of my dreams. I would have laughed in your face. But " "Someone" had a hand in it. I walked in, looked to my left, and there she was. I'll go to my grave loving the woman that God sent to me, and will forever be grateful.

This was mine and wife’s song . We met as teenagers and she stole my heart right from the first glance. I was blessed with 46 1/2 years 2 children and 15 grandchildren before God called her home . It will be 6 years come February 2023 . A lot has transpired in these last six years the sixth grandchild was born . Three grandkids have married and new great grand baby on the way. So the keeper of the stars definitely had a hand in it. 4:16 years ago in February 2023 . The family has been blessed with an additional grandchild and 3 in-laws and soon 4:16 to be first great grandchild. So someone definitely had a hand in it and I’m so thankful

My sweet husband of 47 years passed away earlier this year. This was our song because 'it was no accident'. He was my gift from God. Several years before he left me he made me a video of our wedding pictures and used this song. I had the video played at his service. Someone very special to me gave me a music box that plays this song. I listen to it every night at bedtime while looking at his picture on my nightstand. I'm hoping some day the tears will be replaced with a smile. Thank you Tracy for such a beautiful and meaningful song.

You Miss got lucky to find a person like that, just remember all the sweet things and keep that smile going.

This was my husband and my favorite song. The day before he died we heard it on the radio several times that day. We always held hands each time it played. That very night when we went to bed I never dreamed he would die in his sleep. When I woke up he was gone. At his funeral I had it played because it truly was no accident that we found each other. Forever in my heart.

I missed him at about 1 hour form a horse auction. Then his friends and my friends decided to go to the same bar....so we were convinced it was destney.

Three years has passed since my original post. My husband and I just observed our 7th wedding anniversary on May 19. He is the ying to my yang, the peanut butter to my jelly. He just "gets" me. I'm so thankful God put us in each other's path that fateful night in '14. I love you my sweet husband, Bob.

This song is so beautiful and so true. I have met the man I waited a lifetime to meet. He is the most caring loving man a woman could ask for. The Keeper of the Stars did have a hand in it. Thank you God for bringing him into my life.

I think you wrote this about my husband and I. We use to say that someone had a hand in us meeting. He lived in the country, I lived in the city. We attended different high schools and different churches. Had no friends in common. We were 16 and he was driving a truck and I worked in a grocery store. Poor guy lost his license for drag racing and came looking for a job where I was working. That is how our story started. We celebrated our 52 anniversary in 2024. Your song is our story!! Thank you. We love you.

I remember the first time I heard this song was at a dance when I met my first true love , my greatest true love at that time and we danced and both felt so good and fell in love. We later got married and had three wonderful children and now they have all grown up except our second who died of S.I.D.S at three months and three days old. Since then my wife has passed away from brain cancer in 2006 and I miss both of them so much along with our other two children. Love you all dad.

They were married on July 25, 1945, while my Dad was on leave from his service in WWII. They are both in heaven now. My Dad passed on October 26, 2004 & my Mama on May 16, 2022. I miss them so much.

1996 I met my husband at a bar and the first slow dance we danced to was this song. We designed our entire wedding around the song. I rewrote some of the song for our invitations, I was worried but it was beautiful. Our wedding was so magical we will celebrate our 27th anniversary in Sept 2023. I did meet Mr. Byrd a few years after our wedding I showed him one of our wedding invitations and he loved it, he even signed it for me and asked me to send one to him but I only had the one left.

Yes. It truly is one of the best (Love Songs) ever written. Of course, I quit believing in such foolishness as God, and Love, years ago. But that doesn't mean that I don't still 'love' beautiful songs. I love good music. My mom has been gone for years. But I still believe in Mamas. You might really enjoy Glen Campbell's (The Hand That Rocks The Cradle.) It is the best, most beautiful, Tributes to Mothers, that has ever been written.

I put this song on a mix CD for my then girlfriend, now wife, after we started dating. We've been together for a total of 18 years now. Thank you, God, for bringing her to me.

I really needed this tonight. This too shall pass.

Oh Tracy what a beautiful song with lyrics that make me cry. This is perfect for my wedding. I am 61 and I thought love would never come again but happily I was wrong. Praise God for the gift of love.

This song is very special to me. My little brother sang this song to his wife as they got married. Little did any of us know that his star was in God's hand. Less than a year later he passed away very suddenly. Just after he passed away, the song "The Dance" was released. It was almost like he was saying he was ok, and he was glad he got a chance. I miss him every day, even though it's been over 20 years. This song makes me feel closer to him.

This was our song at our wedding 27 years ago yesterday March 17th...St. Patricks Day. God changed the direction of our paths. We were married 2 years when he became gravely ill due to complications from diabetes. He passed away shortly before our 3rd anniversary.

This was my Mother and Father. I never realized the love they had for each other until I saw the heart break in my Father's eyes after my Mother Passed. They are together now with the Keeper of the Stars. The irony is that I found my soul mate the year my Father passed. I can't help but believe that they had something to do with it.

This song is the closest explanation to the relationship my wife and I experienced when we first met. Neither of us were open to the idea of being married and she was very clear to me from the beginning that she wasn't interested in dating either but the keeper of the stars had something else in mind cause we've only been apart 1 night since we met and we did get married recently as of 4/20/24 we legally became Mr and Mrs Creason. Soulmates we truly are despite the fact that I didn't believe in the existence of a Soulmate.

This was one of our wedding songs on September 9th 1995. Oh what a life we had, we had our ups and our downs and are good days and our bad days, and we also had the most beautiful little girl God could have ever given anyone. Our little angel had a lot of special needs but, she really showed everyone around her what life was really all about. My husband was not just my husband.... he was my best friend, he was my sidekick. He was my lover....Besides our little girl he was one of the best things that ever happened to me. And I thank God everyday for putting the two of Us in each other's path. Sadly our earthly journey together was cut short on December 14th 2023. My sweet, sweet Mikey, I and my daughter were in our home when he started his journey to heaven. I have to say that the pain is real. Losing someone that is so special to you is so heartbreaking I can't even explain it. But on the other hand I know that my Mikey is in heaven where he can see again, walk again, talk again, run again, and just be whole again. And I know without a doubt, Spreading that unbelievable contagious laugh of his. I also know that heaven just received one heck of a soul. I also know in my heart that every hour is Mikey's comedy hour.....Cuz that's the one thing he did the best He made everybody laugh.. Life was too short to be sad, making people laugh was Mikey's magic. I miss you so much my sweet Mikey keep on laughing and know that we miss you so dearly. We will be there when God says it's our time our hearts ache for you, but we are so glad that you feel so much better. We will see you soon. We love you so dearly...❤❤

I met my wife 43 yesrs ago and 2 weeks before i left for the military. We stayed in touch and have been married 40 yrs now thanks to the keeper of the stars. What a great song.

God sends that someone into our lives for a reason. Sometimes, we dont realize it at the time. but, he'll bring them to our rememberence and in due time. We know it was meant to be. Hopefully it wont be late, for two hearts to become one.

I believe this is the mot beautiful song I have ever heard. My husband died a1/11/2019;and this song fit us perfectly. I cry every time I hear it. He was my world and we loved each other so much. One of my favorites, yet was knocked completely off guard when I learned it was my parent’s sacred marital song... Dad, who passed several weeks ago was a serious late 60’s, 70’s hard rocker!!! Life softens the heart, it is why many liberals turn conservative. They understand crazy becomes realistic in later life.

My late wife and I thanked God every day for putting us together

This song was my Dad's and My awesome stepmother song for their 30th Anniversary party October 26th 1998, sadly they are both gone, mom passed away in 2017 and my dad in 2021.love and miss you both very much. 😢

My best friend and his beautiful wife danced to this at their wedding on July 1, 2006. 16 years later, they're still the greatest couple I know and are raising 2 amazing children. I just feel so blessed to know them.

We Met again 10 Years later, and the rest they say is history!!!! Been an amazing Life. Our Eldest Son Walked Me Down To His Dad To This Very Song, so We Could Say Our Vows one more time, Our Youngest Son Officiated the ceremony, The crowed totally went wild when our Son Said, Dad, You can kiss your Bride!!! +Elsie McMillan That reminds me of my parents. Daddy saw my mother when she was 6 years old and he was 12. He told his brothers, "When that little girl grows up, I'm going to marry her." He knew who she was, but she didn't know him. He kept watch over her until she grew up and he had gotten a job driving a Sinclair Oil Truck and he would drive past her house and honk at her. She would turn her head because that strange young man was being "forward." Well, one night she was in a neighboring town at church with her cousin Louise and that young man was giving the closing prayer at church and she nudged her cousin and said, "That's that boy who keeps honking his horn at me!" and Louise said, "Why, that's Ned Branscome. Do you want me to introduce you?" and Mama said, "I guess so." Well, Daddy saw her in the audience and stuttered and stammered through the whole prayer, but anyway, they got introduced and three months later, they got married. They were married for 71 years and died within a few short months of each other. Daddy died at 95 and Mama, even though there was absolutely nothing wrong with her, died immediately afterwards. By the way, this was one of my mother's favorite songs. They didn't have a song played at their wedding. They just couldn't wait any longer to get married back in 1939 and one Sunday afternoon, Daddy borrowed $40 from his uncle and they went from church to church trying to find a preacher and when they did, they got married.

These lyrics are engraved on my grandfathers gravestone. This was my grandma and grandpa's song, they were married for 43 years. He passed away 2 years ago from today. I remember when I showed grandma what youtube was, asked him and her if there was anything they wanted to see and this was what they requested.
